Best: Fury
I agree 100% with Zh|l. Even though Fury is gone it is still the topic of a lot of conversations. When I was in Fury and rode into battle with the Magisters we just plain owned targets. They were a strong alliance not just according to their score and ship count. They were strong politically as well. They were professional with their attacks as well. Being on the recieving end in the early rounds, they didn't just bash you into the ground every other night. They came to your planet, got what they were there for, then left you with a few less roids and a lot less ships.

Worst: (and I can't believe this hasn't been said) Scandinavian Legion
I don't like to admit it. But I think I was in SL for a while...not really sure why. They just all around sucked.

Best: ND - great fun, spirit and some experienced players who are patient with newcomers.
Worst: Eclipse - but most probably because my closest PA friends were in ND being beasted by WEET so I kinda lost heart for battle. Oh and Dreadnought was there :/

Edit: I just remember Cell in r6 and the expression "couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery" came to mind so I expect they are most likely the worst I've been in.

Worst Funwise : Eclipse (Almost gamewise as good as fury, but c'mon, the community spirit sucked)

Alliance I wasn't member of, but experienced very close (as RedBull member) and needs to be named:
Xanadu... Good spirit, good people, good attacks and defence!

Elysium rocks as well.. But I'm ely member in another game

I think ppl shouldnt talk about alliances they dont know. As we were allied to Ely in round 7, i know how WP/Xanadu coverd the Ely-hc gal (XtotheZ, rez, Eylisia, Lord (13:18)) very good, while Ely couldnt do it. BUT i wont say Ely is bad, becouse i am not TOTALLY sure (gues u didnt forget this XtotheZ). So i think ppl shouldnt talk about alliances if they dont know how it goes INSIDE the alliance.

Obviously you have no idea how often people have got defence from other alliances. Just as an example Tourique yesterday (or day before) and if you judge alliances for that, you are silly.

Who are you referring to with people who don't know 'what's going on inside their alliances'? I thought the whole idea was to mention alliances one have been in.

You need to re-read your PA history. WP were the ones who attacked Eclipse while NAPed, causing Eclipse to declare war on them and forcing Ely to pick a side. WE didn't get any support from NAR either, after attacking them with WEET. NAR stayed 'neutral' and picked our bones with ET.
Elysium didn't '**** up' by any stretch of the imagination.

You're wrong as well.

That gal had no Xanadu players, 2 Nos (one of which joined Ely during the round, the other quit) and 2 WP (being the ever-inactive you and Loonatick). And according to our historical arbiter and pilkara archives, your planet was the smallest for much of the round. I don't remember you joining the gal chan more than once every couple of days, so this doesn't suprise me. In fact I think the only point in the round where you were bigger than any Elys there was havoc.
Please don't bullshit on AD, it gets the floor dirty and the poor mods have to wipe it up.

Actually, it was Eclipse who were hostile first. They then used their propoganda skills to make WP look evil. I am referring to the point in time were WE had the chance to drop ET and move to Nah, which you turned down, which was a big **** up, judging by what happened afterwards, wouldnt you agree?

And NahR didnt stay neutral, Reduco and FAnG napped ET.

You may recognise me from trolling AD, HCing Elysium and being in the joint WEET channel in round 9. Wolfpack sent initial hostiles because their command were too lazy to check arbiters for their members (a common WP failing over many rounds, I'm sure several of you will corroborate). You are definately wrong here. There was skirmishing between eclipse and wp. I was under the impression, but dont know for sure that wp through laziness with checking or indifference was committting the first and most violations. That was what I heard from sources in eclipse and in the block, though I did not see the evidence myself. That isnt really important.

As WP and Eclipse lost love for each other, and the skirmishes got more serious, it became clear that neither side was trying to hard to stop escalation. There was very little propaganda it was all very out in the open. People discussed the impending WP Eclipse war on the forums and in public channels. When eclipse felt it could no longer tolerate WP's behavior, we informed the rest of the block. ToT stood with us, Ely aknowledged that we were in the right, but chose to be loyal to WP anyway and also avoid stagnation.

As far as the third block, I simply cannott remember. But regardless of who fired the first shot in the first skirmish, no one was the aggresor per se.

i must say Xtothez is right, issues started with the dropping of NAR, while wp at first wanted to stagnate the round to end they wanted the brotherhood to stay alive, this resulted in a lengthy discussion why nos over rah, eventho it ended with the whole of NAR beeing dropped. WP had their own beef with ToT regarding "voting rights within the block" and there were lengthy discussions because of the lack of WP arbiter support (hit a gal and discover there have been 3 longtime wp members in it) is no fun if it happens frequently and the lack of commandmembers from WP in the midround phase. Alongside abusive behaviour of certain Dragons bigheads and unauthed retals on whole gals because the 200 roid Rah planet defend his alliance. This incidents happened over and over forcing, like xtothez already stated, the block to boil down. After the NAR split intel provided by NoS showed that some eager WP hc tried to motivate the NAR to soley go for ET to ensure a victory of the brotherhood, if this was true or not didnt matter at this stage again because another Dragons arbiter violation forced Elysium to make a decision which leaded to the ultimate ET-WE war.

so much for the history.

hmm i could post the truth here. but since the real ely hc from that round aint around anymore (stress and co) that won't matter..

People think they know the truth but most things aint the complete truth.
Every hc (the real deciding people) know that there is more then the alliance and the rest of hc knows. (altho most likely they will deny it here and the rest of the hc from that round will believe that they did knew all [sorry you didn't and still dont]) Those from ely from that round that knew all and had the most power aint the current ely hc and aint posting here. Anyway to stay on topic.

there were other alliances in the top100 and wp shouldnt talk about "having balls" considering half your memberbase defected and nearly ALL your officers tried to jump ship to save their gals/ranks. Of that comes alongside WP-tv which was entertaining.

I agree with Provider tho, noone knows all the facts, a few ppl do however know alot and TheAce youre not one of them

P.S. IF wolfpack was so strong why did they lose ?
Considering NoS was pretty wp friendly, Rah did have serious issues with supporting Ecl/ToT and was neutral at best and last but not least ely on your side.

bingo focht.. But in the end ely wasn't on our side at that moment. And ely,ecl,tot (and rah) together wp couldn't handle. Where ecl,tot,rah vs wp,ely,nos was a nicer idea. Was this a serious idea.. yes it was but ely hc voted against it. (visible split between old and new ely hc's was already visible there)

Still in the end it was Ely + WP vs Ecl + ToT no lil helpers and even complimenting you it kept the round interesting and worth playing.

It did indeed. Altho the wp, ely relation took a serious beating there. It was more and more clear that the new ely hc wasn't as close to wp as the old one was. It had a big impact.. speaking with what we know now it was a very bad day for wp. From there it went down in the standings (not to far gladly
