Conspiracy Theory back at it in Round 41
‘Conspiracy Theory’ started as an alliance in the days prior to round 20. Since that first tick, CT has grown into one of Planetarion’s longest running alliances, and have consistently challenged for the top spot in each rounds Alliance Rankings. We’ve seen members come and go, and in that time we’ve been lucky enough to bring in some really terrific players and build a strong member base. We’ve lost people to attrition over time, but we’ve never lost the fighting spirit an alliance needs to be successful. We stress teamwork, maximum effort, and pride in your alliance and each and every member of the team.
Round 41 will be our 21st Round as a stand-alone Planetarion Alliance. (we played Round 23 as a Battle Group with our friends @ Tides Of Fire)
We are full of good Officers and experienced PA players who have a positive mental attitude. If we have to kick you in the ass to get you motivated, then your probably not a good fit for CT. We value teamwork above all else. We don’t sacrifice members fleets, or planets for the sake of one player. Quoting our favorite Vulcan... Ambassador Spock..... “the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few”.
We’ve always tried to be open to new players and provide training to help them improve their game, and have always endeavored to find the right combination of experience, and new fresh ideas. That won’t change. If you are new to Planetarion... get to know some of our members... if you make a good impression, they can vouch for you when you apply. Vouches are a very important part of your application and although it’s possible to be accepted without one, you’ll have a much better chance with a member or two vouching.
When you apply, you will be required to complete an interview with a CT Officer, HC member, or Experienced member of the team. This allows our Command Cadre, and core members to get to know a bit about you as we go through the recruiting process.
We have a strong experienced Command Cadre who are always accessible to the members at least most of the hours throughout the round. HC and Officers have open door policies, if you have something that needs sorted we’ll be there for you.
What do we look for in potential CT’ers?
* You should have the ability to consistently attack with multiple fleets, NIGHTLY, this IS NOT a part time game. We work hard to maximize our attack efforts. Your Attack Officers spend hours organizing attacks and strategies based on the Alliance's military needs. In addition, you should have the ability to recall fleets as needed and get them back to your planet for re-launch... an SMS number where you can be reached day or night is a definite must. We can work around this if necessary, but it is in your best interest to have this option available and it will greatly improve your chances to be selected for membership, and to have success after you have joined our team.
* Defense fleets are needed nightly. The ability to recall and re-launch these fleets is a must so again, an SMS number will help your game, and make you a valuable asset. Our Defense Officers will SMS you for defense ships, recalls, etc. during times your not actively online. “Help us help you” is a thought that comes to mind with respect to defense. If every member steps up, and is there for the rest of the team, those players will be here for that member.
* You should have the ability to play consistently. You must be online daily, especially during target selection times, and critical defense windows. IRC activity is a must, and without it, your dead in the water game wise.
* There are always up's and downs during a round of Planetarion... you will get attacked, and at times, defense will not be available, you HAVE TO have the ability to bounce back and stay in the game, and come back fighting. You have to be able to help us motivate your fellow teamates, your Buddy Pack members.... when times are tough. It's not all rainbows and sunshine, some days we will get knocked down, as do all alliances.. what will set us apart is the ability to get back up, and come out swinging. That's what shows character, if you can get back up after being knocked down
* You must be part of the solution when things get tough, whining, bitching, moaning, and complaining helps no one. It is counter-productive, and causes drama, and negativity... it isn't going to be something that will be well tolerated by your Command Cadre, or your fellow members. If you have a suggestion that will make things work better, more smoothly... you can always make those types of suggestions as we do want your feedback. You can do so in a positive way. You are part of this team, we want to utilise your abilities both tactically and progressively as a whole
