pleh, alternative using just pppd
Code:

ABORT "ERROR"
ABORT "NO ANSWER"
ABORT "BUSY"
ABORT "Username/Password Incorrect"
"" "AT"
OK "ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0"
OK "ATDT0123456789"
'CONNECT' ''
'TIMEOUT' '5'
Code:
/etc/ppp/options
lock
user haydn_jenny
defaultroute
192.168.255.250:192.168.255.251
ipcp-accept-remote
ipcp-accept-local
idle 600
demand
Code:
/etc/ppp/peers/isp
ttySLT0 115200 crtscts
connect '/usr/sbin/chat -f /etc/ppp/chatfile'
noauth
And then of course, you need your /etc/ppp/*-secrets set up right.
Incidentally snaz, do you get a set of fake ip's before you connect the first time - I cant see them being set, tho maybe wvdial does it.
The fake IP's are so that the ppp0 interface exists before it is brought up (if that makes sense) so that I can run a masquerade script and have the connection brought up by any machine on the local subnet.
