Does it have a 2nd gfx output? My GF4 has a standard analogue output and a DVI connector, but came with an adapter to turn the DVI connection into an analogue one for use with dual monitors.

The red adapter on the top is the one you want. I have no idea where to find them sold separately, I just know they shipped with many GeForce4's. It's called a DVI-I/VGA Adapter, you may be able to find one in a specialist computer parts website/shop. I can't see you getting one in the next day or 2 : )

plug it into your graphics card.
turn computer on.
wait for windows (pref. xp or 2k) to start
right click desktop -> properties -> settings

click on the faded out blue box with a 2 in it
click the 'Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor' tickbox
adjust the new screen to the resolution you want, and orientation you want.
click 'ok'

....
