ETD : foggy road ahead

Ok people ETD is the least talked about race, this round seen some improvement but everyone says it's not enough... Ok I picked ETD and I never played this race before.. Can some experienced ETD players point us in the right direction?... maybe we can save this race from extinction

Pick a race that doesn't have EMP ships. And fake Dealers as your CR fleet vs ziks.

Id have a nice foundation of Voyager, Ranger and Tycoon. Those are the ships that can help you most from getting roided. The class that your emp ships are alone at stopping is BS and youre gonna have to spam ALOT og rangers to be even close to stopping all the BS incs your gonna get. Frigs are also a huge worry for etd so you have to figure out something clever there heh.

if FR and BS are the main threat I suggest to build serious def vs one of those and leave a hole in your defense vs the other (and depend on ally/gal/BP def to protect you):
- Ingal Ter Wyvern is the perfect def vs FR , while a combo of your Vendor + Zik clippers will make many FR fleet recall.
- vs Ter BS def is fast and plenty: Chimera, Viper, Tara, Spectre, Bucc, and felow Ranger


The ships that would help you are Vendor (CO) vs FR and Ranger (CR) vs BS, so it may depend on the attack fleet you're going for.
You can think that FR will appear first so that you're going to def against that and deal with the BS later (too late?)... or you can say that there are more terrans in the uni (29%) so it's better to cover BS... but then anti FR would protect you from Caths too (xan + cath = 32% of uni)...

There is the option of building Dealers to steal attacking zik CO mainly for Cutters which would protect you from Xan FR but not from Cath FR.

A last thing to consider is how easy it is to retal your attacker.
Xan FR can be retaled by CR but not by CO
Terran can be attacked and retaled by both CO and CR

Hard to say which one is the best choice but a good tactic is one we can drop.

Ranger are ALOT more effective than vendors though afaik.
