Dual-boot select screen

I tried installing mandrake on my PC, but for various reasons it didn't work...but thats not the point. In anger, i re-formatted the partition that contained the partial-install, and made my HD whole again, but the bluey screen still appears at startup asking me which OS i want to use. Its not a major problem, but very annoying so if anyone knows how i can tell my comp that there is no Linux on my machine, it would be appreciated.

Pineapple is an unknown quantity at this point
you can still boot into your os?

if your using xp or win2k i think this should help.

if your on win98, boot from your win98 boot disk and type "fdisk /mbr" (w/o quotes), and i think that trys to fix it.

edit: this should help you a bit more

I have win2k pro, and i can boot into that, i just have to select "NT" from the Mandrake screen that appears (if i leave it, it tries to start Linux, which for obvious reasons fails )
I have just one hard-drive, with one partition now, and linux is not on that drive (well, i assume some bit of it must be somewhere, but not on the accessible bit)

Do that anyway. Get a win98 bootdisk from somewhere. It works on WinNT too.

I think thats right for 2k - I can't remember if it's different from XP.
