Is this at all excessive???
I moved up to uni yesterday, but the car was too full for my speakers, so I went and bought a new pair up here in stoke.
I can't help but feel thats maybe a little excessive, but i need speakers for my music making and mixing and playing.

You should buy some Inflatable Speakers. That way you can deflate them when you need extra room.

Yes, but apart from being inflatable, they're crap. I need some sort of quality in the sound really.

You'll not be saying that when your £40million yacht sinks and you realise you can't swim and so you need something to grab hold of.

Actually that's a very good point. If i had the money i could get stuff i've been wanting for ages... an Alesis Andromeda wouldn't go amiss, and a Novation Supernova 2 (keyboard version, of course).
Yes... maybe getting better music equipment would be a better idea!

I wish I had space for hardware, I really do.
Still fruityloops + some nice plugins is still a nice combo.
Have you tried SuperwaveP8??? Thats such a good plugin, and free too.
And synth1. Thats good too. And triangle II
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
But I would still like to get Trilogy, because I can't program a decent bass for ****.

No, i've not tried SuperwaveP8... if it's free, i'll give it a go
Do you have Reason? That's really very good for a single package.

I don't no. I got into fruity first, and the lack of a working piratable version on Kazaa meant I couldnt try it out properly. Heard good things about it, especially after they improved the FX in 2.5.
Superwave is a really fat synth. You can get some properly professional lead sounds out of it. It's so so good.

I'll try that then!
I have fruityloops and reason, which is a fairly good enough lot to go on their own!
Other physical kit i have (or have access to):
Yamaha RM1x
Emu XL-1
Yamaha A4000 sampler (for sale, if you're interested )
Korg Electribe EA-1
Roland SP-808
Alesis MMT-8

Not into samplers that much im afraid. I'd just use the Computer Music DS-404 if i needed one
I would still rather like to get Trilogy as my bass sounds suck ass. But I had to buy speakers instead
Superwave is here by the way:

Probably, but I have these now, and they're newer, the other ones I got from my dad, he's had them as long as I can remember, and these ones look cooler. They sound about the same, and cost me 100 quid (50 quid off because they had a mark on the back of them lol)

Yes, it is. You will be reduced to the lifestyle of a wino-vagrant exceedingly quickly if this continues, if you are not actually there already.
