Client download is like 2.5GB still least it'll give me a huge download to piss my housemates off for wrecking my CS ping all week.

Re: World of Warcraft Open Beta
agreed.
is there a reason that the second torrent is 2.5gb and the first is 2.43 (the size given by the wow installer itself)?
is running them both to see which one completes first a bad idea?

Re: World of Warcraft Open Beta
Seems the Koreans have already beat all the games high end content. Onixya is dead
Molten Core is beaten - although how the **** they did that I'm not quite sure, we wiped on the 2nd boss, heh.
but, I must say, WoW is the best game ever made, ever. It puts everything else that I have ever played to absolute shame.

Sounds like utter bollocks.
The game has only been released in Korea very recently, and considering Conquest has only managed to get Onyxia down to 22%, and kill the first boss in Molten Core, it sounds highly unlikely a bunch of Koreans just wiped Onyxia and Ragnaros in a few weeks time.

Re: World of Warcraft Open Beta
It's an American guild which is know for it's dedication, they were the first ones to get the first Molten Core boss down, they got Onyxia down to 22% health, et cetera.
I do now see that Korea never had a character wipe after the beta. So that technically means that the Koreans had like a full year to build up their characters, instead of the two weeks or so the game was released. That makes the story more plausible, currently reading up on it on the WoW forums. A bit surprised that there appears not to have been any confirmation from Blizzard though - they've been watching Onyxia attempts closely and have actively dispelled previous rumours of Onyxia's death.
I still say, however, that them beating Molten Core is bollocks.

I've gone through the thread, it's fairly useless.
Those forums are just filled with morons, and the entire thread is nothing but people whining about Koreans, people whining about people whining about Koreans, etc. And Blizzard hasn't acknowledged the kill.
Popular rumour, both on the WoW forums as well as on SA, though, is that the screenshots in question are from the Korean Beta, where apparently there was one point where Onyxia was very easy to kill.
