i have my final high school exam tommorow too. its at 1 o clock, or at least i hope so, because ive stayed up till now singing to my cat and playing civilisation 2. However, i pleasingly got an ace 109% civilization rating, so all is well.

i get lonely sometimes 
only warlord im afraid. many years ive spent playing civ & civ 2, but even prince has always been too hard for me. Or not neccesarily too hard, but everything i seem to try doesnt work. It gets frustrating sometimes when a fkn warrior or explorer holds out against 5 veteran catapults stations on hills.
Warlord is tough enough for me to almost pretend i might not win for a while, then win, and be happy with myself, and get on with singing to my cat.

and MrL, i thought the secret was the cleverly hidden "toggle cheat mode" option up the top.
anyway, a few things civ had over civ2
[list=1][*]Better music[*]Less Faggy Wonders (Womens Suffrage for instance, i presume everyone only builds it "just to have it" near the end of the game)[*]Militias, not warriors. Same unit, better name[*]No tempting cheat mode, which even if you use in a seperate turn, ruins the whole fun of getting nukes properly.[*]More rewarding end sequences. When you conquered the world in Civ1, there was lots of demographics, showing the map, and all the tribes represented by different colours. The map would change colour in various bits according to conquests etc (as a timeline and events would scroll past the top)[/list=1]
Civ2 is still probably better though. Some of the new wonders are ace, my personal favourite being Adam Smith's trading co: allowing deffeh to build libraries and marketplaces in every city since 1997.
