The New Berliner Representative informs the Freilander Representative that, while his planet would welcome aid against the pirates, New Berlin is not willing to sell itself into slavery in order to save itself from destruction. It does not wish to join any form of alliance at this time and, should this be a condition of it recieving military aid from Freiland or any other power, it must regretfully decline said aid.

No other planets express interest in joining the Alliance at this time (name them you lazy SOBs. I'm not going to give you anything if you operate the diplomatic equivelant of spam emails).

Jean Bisson thanks the Frontier representative for his time, and lets him know that should he change his mind, the offer would remain open. For the time being, the people of Freiland would hope that if not for an official alliance, then perhaps at least the two nations could exchange intel on the local pirate clans, or even launch joint raids on known pirate bases in the near future.

After talking with the New Berlin representative, the Vice Admiral reassures him that it was not the intention of Freiland or the Frontier Alliance to forcibly assimilate New Berlin into the alliance, nor make conditions as to aid against the pirates. The Vice Admiral would, however, like to see some cooperation from the New Berlin government against the pirates, such as providing any known intel on the pirate clans currently operating within the New Berlin system, their capabilities, numbers, etc. An estimate on how much longer the New Berlin government could stand against the pirates would be helpful as well, thus giving the Frontier Alliance a timeline against which to prepare a relief effort.

Finally, after completing the negotiations with the two representatives, the Vice Admiral meets with the representative from Baraki. He thanks the representative for his support during the debate over League funding for the Frontier Alliance's anti-piracy initiative, and then gets down to business.

"Obviously, the Inner Worlds have no intention of giving a single cent towards protection against the pirates. Therefore, the Frontier worlds will probably have to foot the bill, as usual. While we can begin anti-piracy operations on our own intiative, funding from the League could have given us a substantial head start. Still, we are hoping that we can convince some of the Frontier worlds to help fund us personally. Due to your support during the debate, I had hoped that you might be willing to work out some sort of arrangement with us, perhaps not a full alliance, but perhaps some sort of interplanetary loan or donation to help us build up our forces more quickly."

"In light of the recent appaling number of support for the atrocious resolution 4902 and it's heinously blatent restriction on the rights of our worlds, the adminstration of Teian Point invites you to join in a meeting seperate of the league and it's inner sphere cronies.

The main reason for this meeting is simple. Teian Point has lost faith in the league and it's ability to function as a stable intersteller government. The league has failed to act on the recent issues involving piracy since it is not a problem to inner sphere worlds and resolution 4902 was only narrowly blocked successfully; next time we may not be so lucky.

As such we, the administration of Teian Point, hope that you will accept our invitiation as we wish to hear your views independant of league interference on the plausiblity of the application of a Galactic Fringe World Committee. The committee will act independant of the league as well as provide a stronger voice in the senate that will be actually heard amongst the sinister whispering of the inner sphere.

The committee will also deal with issues in regard to fringe worlds such as piracy and will deal with them swiftly unlike the centrilised league who continually refuses to take our interests to heart.

Umm.. Sancheans total income is off by a lot, and how come with my trade docks, I only made a measly 1k more than sanchean, which doesn't have them?

And as for the trade routes I'd say a lot of it has got to do with location - you and KoL are right out there on the fringe so trade will be less.

Karlak might be a bit out on the fringe as well, but we are the cross roads for five different trade routes not to mention one of the major trading systems is not far away.

I'm not worried about the trade, just the tax, but it might be they all have high tax rates, *shrugs* Mainly its just that theres little difference in me and lakhims trade income. Oh well. "First off the representive of Teian Point would like to appologise for if any offense was taken in the recent league biannual meeting. Politics is a dirty profession and unfortunately with all the mud slinging one tends to get a pie in the face.

We would also like to inform the people of Elyssium that the inital colonisation efforts in the Karlak system by Teian Point is over. Although we are not happy with the league territorial commissions decision to deny us of the two most resource-rich worlds in the system, five colonies is the most we can support for the time being and as such we will not be making any more territorial claims for a number of years. So you do not need worry about being 'hemmed in' as your representive put it. Teian Point will not interfere with any Elyssium claims in the Karlak system in future.
