Feels Strange
So it's my birthday today and for the first time I can't sit around all day as I have to work which feels slightly strange.
It's also the first year that only my parents are around as my grandfather died a few months back and my grans in hospital which feels a bit weird not talking to them or going to visit today.
Still, got the weekend to look forward to where my parents have kindly (foolishly) agreed to go out till about 12/1am and handover the house to me, my brother and some friends. Hopefully no one tries pissing in the cloakroom or knocks over ornaments this time

Re: Feels Strange
My mother would rather have given herself bowel surgery with a stick in the woods then turn her house over to me for an entire night of partying.
All the glories of a working-class upbringing, I suppose.

I can pop over on my way into Cardiff if I can find the right apartment block, etc. Probably about 9.30/10am - yay/nay?

Yeah sure, just give me a ring in the morning. It is easy enough to find.

Re: Feels Strange
Happy birthday.
Personally I feel birthdays are a bit shit, because you are forced to be the centre of attention and everyone expects you to be happy. . I like Christmas, because everybody is celebrating and shit, but at least nobody will notice if you aren't.

Happy birthday midge
Christmas is definitely better. But theres something to be said for having your turn, your glory.
All i do with my mates is drink anyway, but for that one special night, all my different friend groups come together in what can only be described as a spectacular array of humanity, and drink. Its good to have everyone about, the only problem is it never lasts long enough, and i never remember enough, because i KO early.
But its really nice to watch all your mates destroy their bodies in your honour
Actually the only bad thing about birthdays is im not very good at accepting gifts. I dont want anything but alcohol in my every day life, theres nothing but security i lack, and im genuinly just happy my friends show up and get pished. Also for instance this year, i was mortally afraid of the disgusting state i was going to get myself into. I almost didnt want to drink because ive seen what happens to people on their birthdays, and i didnt want it to be me getting shaved, abused, penetrated, urinated on, stripped, etc etc etc etc.
