It was the same at each end. The ref could hardly ask for the pitch to be relayed.

What is more annoying than the state of the spot is the fact England practiced on it the night before so Beckham has no excuse for losing his footing in the ground. He shouldnt have tried blasting the ball when he knew the ground was liable to give way.
