Love Spells
Ok, GD to the reskyou again.
As you were all so (impressively) helpful in the last serious post I created (Your Best Friend), I'm hoping you will be equally helpful now.
There is a certain female. I have tried absolutely everything I can think of but nothing is working.
Is it at all worth venturing into the twisted world of magick in a vain attempt to grasp what has suceeded in evading me for so long?

Re: Love Spells
why don't people realize that if someone doesn't love them back, they should just move on cause it obviously isn't meant to be?
and if you're thinking about trying a 'love spell'.. don't you know the hazards that could follow?

Silly me. Much better idea to bring out the Ouija board and some candles and ask the dark spirits of the undead if they could 'help me ask this girl Sophie out 'cos she's like, real hot and stuff and it'd be way cool if she went out with me 'cos my mates would think I was, like, this radical dude and stuff, so, if I give you the deeds to my soul for the rest of time, do you think you could, like, sort it for us to go to a movie and, like, maybe kiss a little or something?'

Re: Love Spells
Couldn't you set up some unlikely and frankly unworkable scenario which makes you look more heroic and/or interesting than you really are, thus attracting her?
It's what George Costanza would do, and he's pretty much the coolest person I know of.

Actually he did a love spell on Cordelia, the necklace he gave her as a gift deflected the spell and it affected every woman in town except Cordelia.
They then tried to kill them both.
Clearly I need to get out more and this is the stupidest post I've ever written.
I may as well make the best of it.
*Ahem* LOLZ A/S/L? PICS PLZ

That was a pretty good episode, in a light amusing sense. The best bit was with Xander walking down the school corridor with the musical accompaniment.

I read that as Sunningdale, Surrey and was wondering who tf Xander was and whether he hung with the Staines massif.

Yeah, the best Buffy episodes are the light-humour ones. Early on. Everyone just became whining pussys after the series where the mayor got killed at the end.
So what have we learned today kids?
Love Spells are BAD.
And,
End your successful TV series when you have to hire in writers while you suffer a nervous breakdown.
They will ruin it.
[edit] Leshy, dont thank me,Im slowly becoming a Pedant. You must kill me before it takes me over! I can feel it! NoOOoooOo!
Leshy....I am your father. [/edit]

Re: Love Spells
I'm pretty sure using magic for personal gain is the path to the darkside, although that may only apply to Jedi. Might be a good idea to consult Yoda\a Priest just to be on the safe side.

Bah, I loved it to the end, although 6 & 7 weren't as good as 5.
On-topic : Gayle posted a love spell to assist me in my last "I'm a pathetic wanker" thread I made a while back.

Re: Love Spells
Do an incredibly romantic over the top gesture involving dozens of long stemmed roses, evidently adorable puppies, tickets to something unusual and rare while not being spotty or stammering a lot. And pick more opportune moments to crack those jokes you think are hilarious. If that doesn't work go to the pub and get totally hammered (and ring me first).

I thought that, with a few individual exceptions, 4, 5, 6 and 7 (the first few episodes of 7 were ok, but then it went into a downward spiral of doooom) were terrible.
I blame Marti Noxon and all her rape metaphors.

Re: Love Spells
The problem with Buffy is that Sarah Michelle Gellar only looks fit in the first series.
After that she doesn't. I'm not sure why, maybe she got too skinny.

She got much more preachy towards the end, especially with the slayerettes in season 7, where she was telling them things that were literally wrong about the mythos of the show.
