Why do people always think its bad to brag... modesty is a choice not a nessesity

Arrogance has to do with being overly convinced of one's own abilities or importance.

The reason people think that it is bad to brag is multi-fold.
First of all, there the fact that the skill differential between the winning players in most rounds, and the losing players, is in fact negligable. The universe has become too small for there to be a significant proportion of low-quality players. Therefor, for winners of say, r8 or r9 to brag of their eliteness on say, AD, IS arrogance. It is to presume that you have some great measure of skill that most of the players don't, which is simply usually not the case.
Second, the players that are bragging most on AD often do it in such a way that they posit far more than even the game statistics (shaky though they may be) would support. These claims range from being smarter than the opposition to being somehow more honorable than the opposition, and even being somehow better people than the opposition.
Third, bragging is poor PR, no matter how you cut it. It irritates just about everyone.

Modesty may be a choice, as you say, but there is a reason almost all major philosophers and thinkers of the past several thousand years have considered it a virtue.

There's a difference between having a bad reputation and being bad.
Only the first one could be applied to LDK, but that is merely the case if you are shallow enough like Dingo (ie. believing your own fantasies).

But however, LDK getting back has nothing to do with free accounts or whatsoever. People who've known LDK for a while, already knew they'd be back, before the "free accounts" announcement was made.

I didnt know, noone can claim they knew. As for them being around for r9 thats not really relevant. They werent around in a form that can truely be linked to LDK. Otherwise its like saying I was around which means Fury is also around still. (this is a deviation from what you are saying and I know this but Im too tired to bother quoting the other guy).

All in all, I find LDK's return amusing (and thats not intended as an offense to anyone). I'll keep why to myself.

Heh, isnt that funny remark. Even funnier is that Killmark was in my galaxy in this round, but I didnt see any bot army escorting him.

But I'm sure that with free accounts there will be quite a few farms next round, and even maybe some fresh new blood. But that doesnt change things overall, most of the top100 planets have been using farms and scanplanets for the last 6 rounds anyways, so maybe game name should be updated from Planetarion to Cheatarion, since everybody seems to 'cheat' to some extend. But as people seem to have gotten used to it, nobody even cares. And besides that they dont want to lose their top100 planet players as they are their best paying customers with multiple planets.

Totally mixed gals are positive thing I think. Round2 was fun because of mixed gals, and gained a lot of new friends too, and its harder to make full farm galaxies when things are mixed. And its also bad for those EVIL blocks that people are complaining about. And as there arent unbeatable super galaxies then average player can enjoy the game also.

On R9 there is 4845 plenets or so, and they continue to R9.5. And I'll assume that of those 4800 planets there are max 3000 real humans with their 'sisters and brothers' from same ip number. Fresh blood is ofcourse nice, lets assume that we would gain 30% more real players, which is quite optimistic or atleast would be good increase monetary for R10. That would be about 900 new human players?? 3900 humans in free round, and as humans are greedy bastards they'll make average of 3 planets... So if we would do math then its something like increase from 4800 to somewhere around 10-15k planets. Ohwell atleast there are more roids to get from. Ofcourse I could be wrong and we will see 100k planets, but I doubt that.

My only hope is that there really would be 30% of new blood for the R10, since then 4800 would increase to somewhere around 6300 paid planets. But even that doesnt pay salary for so many people. But its better than nothing. And hopefully R10 will be totally random also.

On average I have posted on AD once in round and I dont plan to start spamming here in there future either. R9.5 will be mostly just practice for R10. And answer for blocking issue is that we will play with our old and new friends, whatever that means, I'll leave upto you to decide.

For me the main thing for the GAME is to have fun with friends, and not be so bothered with whining hypocrite bastards posting on AD (who dont have real life anyways). But as always you can always blame me if you havent found a girlfriend yet or if you dont have enough roids in your planet.

Eclipse didnt exist in r7, Kileman stopped playing r8, Eclipse was created r9.

Plus, people should defend their galaxy mates, so any farms should be defended. A benefit of random rounds.

If they let anyone reported with plenty of evidence for cheating win the round then that will deter a good deal of decent players as well.

I'm almost tempted to start a cheat planet to see if they spot it (off course if they didn't I would suicide on a real cheater rather than keep the gain from it) but I h8 the idea that they might not catch me and I'd be ruining someone else's round by doing so.

The point of that reference was more to do with the response to the use of atomics - i.e. - if one uses them, all others will effectively join together and flatten them with any and all means - other arguments and differences will temporarily be forgotten to ensure that justice is dealt in order to keep to the great convention.

I fail to understand your point. If you consider me to be a hypocrit, then it is more irony than hypocrisy - but I fail to see how I am a hypocrit. I never said whether or not fury did the things suggested by Lyrtas, I merely pointed out that he is not the person to be complaining as seeing as LDK are the gods of 2-3mil score free planets. I am basing this purely on what I myself have seen.

I did not comment on whether or not fury did it round 7 as I was very inactive that round, and freely admit I don't know, however, I would suspect they didn't.

I never once said anything about fury when I made my post, that was Scorpio, and if you check, you will see that I said I do not know if fury cheated in this way. I do however know that LDK did, which does make you a hypocrit.

My eyes were quite open when I was there, but I wasn't during r7, and during r8 I was a military officer, and I never sent anything like that myself, but I wouldn't know if other people did. I personally saw no evidence of it.
