But surely if only the US find them a threat (and to be honest they can't really) then the outcry against war is completely justified.
Is is plain ignorant to say that Iraq could never be a threat but it is also plain ignorant to say they threaten the single world superpower.
They are being attacked because they can't defend themselves justified by saying they threaten world peace. It's such complete and utter bollocks.

I have no idea why so few countries endorse a War, perhaps if they were a bit more forthcoming with solutions rather than opposing for the sake of it, we would all be enlightened?
I am saddend by this whole sorry episode in world politics.
The Politicians have failed us all, but most of all they have failed the people of Iraq.

The French have ruined any plan to get security council backing BUT would that backing be justified if all the members were bought off by the US anyway? When the US and UK have blocked any plans by the other members for not using force is it really that unthinkable that France would do the same?
And the big question - WHATS THE HURRY? why not wait 6 months? he's not going to become more of a threat, more likely he will become less of one, so why not wait until France and Germany's suggested date of June 1st?
And a nice statistic - UK have vetoed 30+ past resolutions. US have vetoed 70+. I wonder how many France have?
The US have broken many resolutions and treaties, more than Iraq if i remember correctly as have Israel but you don't see anyone threatening them or reviewing their funding?
The whole war is just so stupid it's starting to get to the point that there are so many arguments against it that you can't argue them all...

The longer they wait the longer the WMD motive becomes suspicious

unilaterally I think they only voted against one though didn't they? It wasn't many at any rate....
interestingly, the US has voted against many resolutions on Israel's actions.

And just to put this in context, here's the most accurate list of vetoes I could find:
USSR/Russia: 122 vetoes
US: 76 vetoes
UK: 32 vetoes (mostly with the US)
France: 18 vetoes (mostly with the US)
China: 5 vetoes

Britain's only ever unilaterally vetoed 7 resolutions, all on Zimbabwe.

Yes you can, and it has been done so today by a broad spectrum of UK Politicians.
You may not agree with the position(s) taken by the Government, and the majority of Politicains in the House of Commons, but do not dismiss the argument simply because of your failure to accept that they percieve the threat differently than you do.
The arguments on both sides of this debate are heartfelt, and put forward with passion commitment and belief in their respective positions.
We are lucky to be able to debate this, we are lucky to have a free, fair, and democratic society where we can express our points of view.
The People of Iraq are not, cannot, and never will be able to under the present regime.
