Or maybe its a chav running low on his supply of Special Brew & Burberry caps who thought because there was a shortage of PS2's at Christmas, there would also be a massive rise in rich, but completely Braindead people shopping on Ebay.

Re: This Christmas , Spare a Thought
Actually because of the new line of ps2's and the limited stocks being put around of them, a lot of major chains had sold out of ps2's or were forcing people to only buy them in bundle deals.
It is very likely this buffoon believes someone would want to get one for xmas so badly they'd pay this much.
p.s. the original thread starter could easily be a fake story in the end... make up some story behind something and sell them at 1.5-2x their monetary value? it's been done before many a time.

I bought 3 of the new thin playstations. Cost me just £283 and selling 2 on ebay made my money back.
I would like to say thanks to HMV and my 10% discount on consoles.

So youre acknowledging the shortage is caused as much by staff taking advantage of stock before it hits the shelves as this "Mythical" problem with the Suez Canal?
