Your favourite brit-coms
This means:
NO Friends
and
NO Simpsons
I realise this will leave a few of you stuck for ideas, but thats not my problem
In no particular order;
Red Dwarf ("Oh, smeg.")
Fawlty Towers ("Ohhh, you're German! I'm sorry, I thought there was something wrong with you!")
Blackadder ("BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALDRICK!!!")
'Allo 'Allo ("'TLER!")
Father Ted!

Re: Your favourite brit-coms
(sort of in order)
Spaced
Red Dwarf
Blackadder
Black Books
Father Ted
Young Ones
Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (not strictly a comedy in some senses)
Only Fools and Horses
Bottom
For completely different reasons, each of those appeal to me greatly. Spaced is probably my current favourite as it's the show which is probably closest to being about me, or at least people I know. I remember when it was first shown Toccata & Fugue phoned me up in the ad break and said "Are you watching Channel 4? Is it me or did they make a ****ing show about people like us?" (or similar). The main character is obsessed with Buffy, computer games and Gillian Anderson. They're alienated from their families but rely on their friends while their careers go nowhere (sort of). Hell, it's even set in Tufnell Park where my girlfriend lives. Probably the closest thing to a UK version of Clerks too.
Red Dwarf will always occupy a special place in my heart, despite the latter 2 series being completley and utterly shit.
cba to go on about the rest, but they're all great.

Yes Minister
Only Fools and Horses
Blackadder
Fawlty Towers
Coupling
One Foot in the Grave
They would probably be my top few at the moment though there are quite a few others I like, mostly listed above.

Re: Your favourite brit-coms
Are You Being Served? is one of my favs as is Monty Python's Flying Circus (tho I'm not sure if you'd call it a brit-com). I also enjoy Waiting For God & Keeping Up Appearances.

Yes, Minister
Black Books
Fawlty Towers
Blackadder
Father Ted
Porridge
Open All Hours
in that order. flying circus wasn't a sitcom, nor was league of gentlemen, and red dwart had too many off days.

Re: Your favourite brit-coms
I also thought that britcom meant british sitcom, but the term is stupid anyway. The League of Gentlemen is basically a sketch show, and I don't find it very funny anyway.
Yes Minister.
Fawlty Towers.
Black Books
Father Ted (Father Jack is a shit character though)
Blackadder

Re: Your favourite brit-coms
Why would you include Fr.Ted as a british comedy?
Written about Irish priests, in Ireland by Irish writers. Claiming it as British as it was produced on Channel 4 is somewhat of a misnomer.
