It's the last ever Chris Moyles in the afternoon show from now til 6. Worse still, bloody squeeky bloody annoying bloody Sara Cox is taking over the slot. Dear god, what ARE Radio 1 doing?!
Like I'm ever going to be up in time to listen to his new slot (he's taking over from Sara's morning show).
bugger.

I shall continue to enjoy Moyles in the morning as I'm going to Uni; and shall continue to enjoy Sarah Cox in the afternoon on my way home.

Re: [UK] End of a radio era...
radio one are rubbish and useless and boring and crap and hip hop and shit. i like no radio, because i haven't found one which plays much prog rock or any rock for that matter, except occasionally Virgin, but that's crap too.

Re: [UK] End of a radio era...
Moyle's show was entertaining regardless of the music he played (which I generally found barable anyway).
I'll not be up early enough in general to hear him in the morning =(

Re: [UK] End of a radio era...
Well it'll be good to have a decent Breakfast show, but ****ing hell... Sara Cox can't possibly follow Mark and Lard (who I assume are staying, and if not then WHY NOT?!). The only good thing I have to say about Sara Cox is that she is marginally better than Zoe Ball.

radio plays 'pop' and should hence be used only to submit Al-kvaeeda messages from a random Osama imitator

I agree, I hate Sarah Cox in the mornings, it is the worse thing you can possibly wake upto!!!
I am not a big fan of moyles either, too much talk not enough music, but I think it's gotta be better than cox.

Re: [UK] End of a radio era...
With the exception of The Lock Up and the (Radio 1) Rock show i don't listen to radio no more.
Even Mark and Lard have lost their appeal (i used to listen to them every day).
Moyles is ok(ish) too (i used to listen to him from time to time).

What angers me about radio one is the amount of "black music" they play, when bbc have a seperate radio station dedicated to "black music". Radio 4 is great, you should all convert.

I thought that 'black' radio station was only available on DAB.
Leaving out about, oh, 98% of the car-driving bedroom-listening garage-background-music population.

They should play more rock music, it's more popular in sales than any other genre.
