Reduce return travel time
Alliance defence gets reduced eta. Logical because they can refuell at the battle location while the attackers need to carry enough fuel to get home.
Why not make return fleets go faster? Then the extra fuel is burnt, reducing the weight of the ships, allowing them to fly faster. It reduces the boring wait till ships can be used again and add dynamics to the game.
Now we're at it, you might consider overburn attacks where attackers send their fleets out without the fuell to return home: suicide attacks used by scouts or pods trying to supprise an enemy that sent out his entire fleet. Or changing the balance in a major strategic battle.
(Nothing major I know, but it might just add a little juice to the game, we don't want to play the same game of PA all the time do we?)
