Political Quiz-type thing
http://www.theadvocates.org/
A lot smaller than the Political Compass (just 10 questions)- how accurate is it for people here?
Surprise surprise, it thinks I'm a Centrist (the political compass put me within 0.1 of centre on both axes as I recall)
Quote:
Centrists espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

Re: Political Quiz-type thing
I don't really like the phrasing of the "economic" questions. I want to cut all taxes, but I'd have some kind of tax-like voluntary contribution to a co-operative, or something.
In either case I come out as a Libertarian.

Re: Political Quiz-type thing
In truth, I think that test merely underlined my profound uncertainty/caution/indecision when considering any political philosophy.
In any case, I came out Statist. Not sure what happened there.
PS.
The 'Maybe' choice is rather ambiguous. Does it mean: 'I am not really sure about that, but maybe', or 'Maybe, taking into consideration the cirumstances'?

Re: Political Quiz-type thing
The questions are stupid. I'm definitely conservative (and Conservative), but I don't want government censorship, compulsory military service, "laws regarding sex for consenting adults" or a national ID card. It seems to think I'm a centrist with liberal leanings.

Re: Political Quiz-type thing
as i said ten questions isnt enough to see any pattern. i mean, you can agree or disagree to those questions for a lot of different reasons.
