Southampton
jerome asked me to do some research for him
If you know anything about the place, which is probably more than myself as I live far away, could you address the following:
Living conditions
Frequency and quality of fit birds
Frequency of chavs
Decent 'hangabouts'
What is good about it?
And now for a completely uneducated guess, I'm going to say that Soton is a crap place infested with rats from the ships who wear "bling" and keep chavs as their pets. The only decent hangabout is that dock where the one decent chick in the city gets paid to take five c***s at once. The only thing good about it is that it was sacked by the pirate Grimaldi in 1338.

You'd be surprised how much of that, from my experience at least, is true. Still, it's like heaven on earth compared to Portsmouth... The elephant man would feel like Brad Pitt in Pompey.

Re: Southampton
Like anywhere there are some fit birds, you just have to sift through the shit to find them.

TBH , neither is much better than the other , but Pompey has a really ****ing brilliant Seafront to go piss around on of a weekend , whilst Southampton just takes itself way too seriously (how many ****ing marinas do you need? just because your boats go to the Isle of Wight does NOT Mean you are the new Cowes. Get over it!).

Re: Southampton
From what I've heard (from my other half, who lives in Netley) Pompey (Portsmouth) is much better than Southampton.
I'll ask her what's wrong wiht Southampton for you.
"sup, what's wrong with soton?"
"why?"
"my net geek friends want to know"
"k, well...."

Re: Southampton
the city centre itself is fairly decent, but once you get out into the outer areas, you'll be wishing you had a flak jacket. especially around the Millbrook area  and as with any major city, chavs are a-plenty
