on the main screen the unmistakable design of the PROTECH fighter can be seen but this design although basically looks the same it however seems to have different weapon configurations too and it somehow has a strange feeling to it it looks too heavy......

SO: Sir, we are doing well on the aft sheilds. According to the computer, they are at 120%... And I beleive they have noticed us. Also, only 18 Pro-Tek starfighters remain in the feild.
Cid: Time to turn this up a notch... Use all reserve energy from the FTL drive and add them to the particle cannon, I want that thing to rip and burn those sheilds down ready for a strike force to enter and take over.
EO: Aye, sir.

The Levelant modelled it's main cannon much like the Liovanda, but added a large metal sheild to defend it during battle so as not to get harmed during charge. The sheild now opened, and as it did the vaccum created the final stage of the charging process, cooling the four crystals that Shraanian's used to create the necessary weapon components. The crystals suddenly glowed bright and began to fire inwards to energise the forward prod that was the main cannon barrel.

It doesn't bother me so much. Also, sometimes it's rather convenient because there are a lot of posts and follow-up posts which makes it sometimes rather difficult to find something back and I think it helps LH when she has to DM us, especially since there's 2 weeks between each DM session.

GATHER INTEL

Location - Travel to A SILVA DEVIL/HELL WORLD
Distance - 195 Light years

To investigate a SILVA world to see if -

a) any SILVA survive
b) recover SILVA Tech
c) are they still a threat
d) can they be negotiated with

You all look at the mission board of all the missions this pays one of the highest fees also it has the highest DANGER RATING.

For almost 100 years plus the SILVA have proved to be a mystery - why do they live on DEMON WORLDS or HELL PLANETS? This question ahs always eluded the most advanced Scientist, there has always been speculation.

The DEMON CLASS PLANETS are a unique anomaly as they tend to be called WANDERING planets, this makes them hard to track - however one can be found 195 light years away - the problem - you will need to refuel along the way.

the planet is also located in CHRONO BORG SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say your crews are scared at the prospect of travelling to such a place and such a world.

As you emerge from this Nav Point your No1's indicate that you have no entered the CHRONO BORG IMPERIUM.

The borg ship begins to deploy its compliment of fighters and scout ships as you all disregard the Borgs demands

your crews are all nervous and edgy about battling the borg - SOME MIGHT SAY THAT THEY ARE CLOSE TO MUTINY.

SO - we cannot get any scans of the ships as they have to strong shields we need to weakien them also we have tried to upload the borg virus to their computers, we cannot do it there is no way to link to their computers anymore they are immune.

Hewitt: "I don't care where! Just as long as it's an empty spot in space and not to far off course!"

*Outside, the Athena swayed heavily to port as she turned away from the omnious borg cube, her fighters buzzing around like a cloud of flies as they broke off their defensive positions and headed back to ship.*

Summary:
- Turn around away from the cube.
- Call in all fighters
- Charge up phase drive
- Plot an escape vector to get the hell away from here (run away! run away!)

SO: "The destroyer's shieldstrength has dropped considerably, particularly around their forward section and they appear to have suffered some light internal damage as well!"
Phelicia: "Hmmm, they were supposed to go down all the way. So much for that plan of yours."
No1: "Well, we obviously caused quite a bit of damage; let's call it a minor success. We should do it again."
WO: "We won't have the element of suprise this time, Sir."
No1: "True, but their shields are still vulnerable to this type of attack and they cannot defend very effectively against our missile attack."
Phelicia: "Hmm, Phoebe, how many missiles have we got left?"
WO: "We have enough supplies for 6 EMP reloads and 7 gravatic reloads. That is more than enough to refill the launchers, captain."
Phelicia: "Very well, reload our launchers. We're going in again. We must disable that ship quickly."
WO: "Yes captain!"

Phelicia: "Mr. Leetdude; I want our bombers to concentrate their fire on the destroyer's forward section, since it is already weakened."
WC: "I'm giving the order now, captain."
Phelicia: "Phoebe, lock all missiles on their front section and fire when we can do maximum damage to their shields. Meg, turn us about, approach the destroyer from the front. Take us in as close as possible, full speed."
Helm: "Okidoki boss!"

* Phelicia saw the big grin on Meg's face as she acknowledged the order and as an afterthought, she added: "As close as possible without actually flying in to them, I mean." After all, they didn't call her Mad Meg Morigan for nothing. Meg's grin was even bigger as she said: "Yes captain, thank you for the warning, captain!"

Phelicia: "Mr. l'Oven. Boost the power to our forward shields and use power from the aft shields to maintain maximum shieldstrength at every moment until we're past the enemy vessel. I want our shields to be as strong as possible so that we take minimal damage during our attack run."
EO: "Aye capt'n. I'll work on it right away!"
Phelicia: "Nathalie, I want you to scan all the enemy vessels, including that command carrier thoroughly and report any possible weaknesses or exploits to me immediately."
SO: "I was already working on it, captain!"

Phelicia: "Mr. Leetdude, tell the fighters to stay clear of our path, we don't want any of them running in to us. Phoebe, use the AMD and AFD systems to destroy any fighters or missiles that come between us and that destroyer during our attack run."
WC: "Aye captain."
WO: "Yes, Ma'am."

Phelicia: "I hope we're not going to take too much damage."
No1: "Well, their forward section is the most damaged part of their ship. They're vulnerable there and they sustained some light internal damage, so maybe some of those laser cannons will be malfunctioning or perhaps their targeting system won't work properly."
Phelicia: "Well now, we'll see that in a moment, won't we?"

- Fire all missiles (4x 20 EMP missiles + 6x 6 gravatic missiles) at close range for maximum damage
- EO boosts forward shields and recharges them with power from aft shields to keep them continually at maximum shield strength to minimise damage we receive during the attack run
- SO is to thoroughly scan all enemy vessels for possible weaknesses
- All fighter squadrons are to stay clear of our path so they won't fly into us (just a precaution )
- AMD and AFD will actively destroy any enemy fighters and missiles that come into our path during the attack run

Summary-ish
The basic premise here is that, two of my three police cruisers will discharge their linear pulses towards the incoming fighters and then fall back with the merchant vessels to recharge their engines (this probably takes longer than I'd like, so they are to concentrate on getting primary functions back out of the Drive before powering the weapon)

Myself in the third vessel will move to "the pass", where I shall "head off" the approaching fighters. The pass, in this case, being the area just after they exit the field of disruption and boastful carnage attributed to the linear pulse's wake. Then I shoot fighters... lots.

Next time - a cunning plan of over dramatic proportions.
