1. There should be a scrolling message in #planetarion listing alliances that are looking for members. Promoting alliances and creating a better environment for new players this could run from signups thru tick 48.
this is a way to promote all alliances and of course alliances that are full wont be advertised

Joining an alliance should be made a default and a player has to choose an alliance or opt out .Otherwise Planets not choosing an alliance or to opt out will be placed in an alliance at Random .
To be fair alliances can opt in or opt out of this option this is a way of promoting alliances and introducing players them to alliances.
3. Small Alliance Protections
This proposal is that small alliances <30 members to be granted extra protection time like to tick 72 to organize and get better prepared to engage in battle.
A side effect of this is to force big alliances to stop bottom feeding and taking advantage of smaller alliances and start attacking alliances more their size.

Wouldnt mind better promotion of alliances to people without a ally. Say some mail to everyone ingame (at say t18) thats outside of an ally with detailed information on how to get an alliance (and perhaps a list of alliances that are open for recruitment)
We could improve the in-game alliance listing - instead of having just a drop down list of alliances, have a more in-depth description (alliance name, number of members, message for applicants - information all available but not well presented.)
I think I've suggested profile pages before. Both for alliances and players.

Would be nice for alliances to make public pages. With banners and info and stuff. I was wondering about this the other day. Nice to see pa team on those lines.

maybe alliances could provide a logo that you can click, that will link you to a brief overview of the alliance like the message from high command page. and then the option to join alliance on that page
