Extras - Ricky Gervais
I caught this last week, and i was pretty damn impressed, made me laugh loudly a few times and quietly still more times. It actually seems he has managed to make 2 great sitcoms in a row. Of course i have only seen one ep, but another is on tonight (9pm bbc2 or bbc1 i cant remember, probably 2) and im going to have another go.
Anyone else seen it? If not, watch it tonight.

Re: Extras - Ricky Gervais
the one two weeks ago with Ross Kemp and Vinny Jones was meant to be the best (that's the one I missed)
Tonights has Les Dennis in it and is not meant to be as good...

Thats a good point actually, it certainly is more than the office ever was.
on the other hand, there is a lot that american sitcoms do do very very well (the good ones that is)

I've watched it from the start, and have enjyed it. It's not great, but it makes me smile.

Re: Extras - Ricky Gervais
last weeks was good... it had Francesca Martinez (the comedienne with cerebral palsy) and Kate Winslet in it. Lots of moments that make you cringe, which is what some would say Gervais does best. Kate talked dirty and, referring to Martinez, said "playing a mental" is a good way to get an oscar...

Re: Extras - Ricky Gervais
I saw the first episode with Ben Stiller and wasn't impressed. Stiller's scenes were good but the rest was just crap.

the only good one is scrubs
it is also the only one to dispense with canned laughter and to be well written

Re: Extras - Ricky Gervais
I have enjoyed Extras so far. By far the best episode was last nights, Les Dennis is a good sport.
Although there are moments where i find it a tad embarrassing to watch. But thats the whole point of it.
