Re: 'the island'
FHM said 4 out of 5 stars.
It was no help to me as I'm still thinking what film me & my girl should watch...

Crash is coming out soon here in the UK...
Oh and Flav, please don't go and see Mr and Mrs Smith. It is dire and the ending of the movie is absolutely whack.

ive already seen it. i wouldnt say it was especially bad, it was just too average, nothing you could watch more than once.
as for alternatives. there are none. its a rather small cinema. atm the show 'Herbie: Fully Loaded' (...), Siegfried (ive already seen that, hopefully theyll never show it in foreign countries. i just gave the link, because its the first time i wrote a comment on imdb, because i was so 'emotionally touched'.) and Mr. & Mrs. Smith

No, it's an enormous pile of shite.
It's also a direct copy of a film that's most famous for being on MST3K

I think it'll be really good. It isn't out here for another week though.
I love Ewan McGregor and Scarlet Johannsen <3

Re: 'the island'
It seems like a rip-off of 2 pretty famous stories put togther to make one dissapointing mess, kind of like Equillibrium which was a horrid film.

Re: 'the island'
it wasnt so bad. some parts didnt make too much sense, but if you are willing to ignore that, its an ok-movie. the 6.9 on imdb is perfectly fine.

Re: 'the island'
Judging by the trailers it seems to have a sex scene with Scarlett Johansen in it.
So itīs ok in my book!

It has a kissing scene and an under the covers waking up scene.
The best 'action' scene is the jet/hover craft battle around a skyscraper.
The best 'hmmm' scene is the 'just who puts the clothes in my drawer scene...' I wished more people asked about who's putting clothes in their drawers.

I see your point.
However, I haven't seen a "bad" film with Ewan or Scarlet in (to my tastes), so I have faith in them.
I had to put up this gigantic cardboard cut-out for The Island yesterday. It took me 5 hours. My hands hurt from putting all the little tabs together and trying to understand the instructions that were half in Japanese.

Re: 'the island'
I saw it yesterday. It's actually ok. Not great obviously. What you expect from the trailers is basically what you get.
By the way, The Rock and Bad Boys both make up for whatever other crap the guy has made.
