going under
have any of you heard this new song by
Evanescence - Going under
for some reason i think the lead singer is quite fit in an odd way.
she's got a good voice also, and this song is quite good. The video is just weird - but good
what do you think?

Pffft, since when does anyone read thread titles? (I just got out of bed 15 minutes ago, give me a break )
And in that case, no, I haven't heard of it.

I've got their album (didn't buy it you understand) and it's OK. Kind of nu metal for beginners.
That song's one of the better ones on it.
And no, she's not very fit.

I don't like that song (the other one is better) although the video is OK.
The woman is quite attractive but only if you're into goth-esque ladies.

No it takes years of careful "programming".

I bought the album as soon as I heard their first single... the vocalist is sure fine, I'd shag her thrice over.

She has a fantastic voice, its a shame about the guy, the motivation behind the music, the annoying rapping, the guitars, and the drums, and the overall sound of it, otherwise evanescence might be average.
As it is, they ****ing suck.

Actually I read that the rapping guy is part of another band, and doesn't normally rap. Which makes it even stranger that he spoils this band.

arent they supposed to be "christian" rock?
I cant figure if some of the lyrics would be more or less pathetic were this not the case

I think they are Christians who rock, rather than any sort of "Spreading the word" type thing.
They don't seem to mention any religious motivation on their website bio, but to be fair they could have been asked to tone down the bible bashing by some Zionist record producers. Extract :
"We're definitely a rock band," says the 20-year-old Lee. "But the twist is that the band's music is epic, dramatic, dark rock."

Depends how you interpret some of the lyrics. Read the lyrics to bring me to life from a christian angle, you might agree

Possibly, but it's not exactly in your face.
Quote:
"'Bring Me To Life' is about discovering something or someone that awakens a feeling inside them that they've never had before," says Moody. He continued, "You discover there is a world that is bigger than just your safe bubble."
|
I've had that feeling after reading a particularly kick arse book, for instance.
Quote:
But the group insists its fundamental message is a positive one. "The point of this whole record and band is to let people know that they're not alone in dealing with bad feelings or pain or anything that they go through," says Lee, who pens most of the words. "That's life and that's human. They're not alone, and we're going through it, too."
|
While this is a little sacharine, and almost verges into cliche, I've heard worse messages/motivation.
