Secret Santa!
This hasn't been tried before on these forums, but I've seen it done on others.
It's quite simple.
Anyone who wants to be part of the GD Secret Santa, say so here and then send me a PM giving me your name and address. You've got 2 weeks (so until 19 November) to sign up!
Then on 19 November (or thereabouts) I'll do a little draw-thing to work out who you'll be getting a present for. I'll send you a PM back with the nickname of the person you're buying a present for, and their address.
You really should post the present at the beginning of December, to guarantee it'll make it to the person by Christmas. Then we all get GD Christmas presents! Hurrah!
This way it means people aren't giving out loads of personal details on the net apart from to me (and I hope you trust me not to be some sort of knacker whackers freak!). If I think you're a freak you won't be allowed into the Secret Santa, sorry
I don't think anyone should spend more than £10 on a present.
So if you're interested, post below and PM me your name and contact address.

Make sure you get it on video, upload it to the net, then post a link here.

I like the idea, but I don't like the idea of having to explain to my parents why I'm getting presents off some bloke on the internet

Sending gift = Approx $20/person
11 people
TOTAL cost = $220
Flight to Greenland (Miami to Reykjavik to Kulusuk Island) ~ $1895
I think that's why....

We've had a few tornados on the outskirts of edmonton before... but very rarely, and not for a couple of years. The tornados are mostly just south in the states.

Are they the ones that rain frozen fish?
Because that's pretty awesome .
Anyway, as for "tornado alley" in the US, isnt that more in the centre of the US? or rather, the center?
In WA, we tend to just get more " willy willies", but occasionally the most minor or tornadoes that manages to break one person's home and then dissapear.
Unlucky .

Yes.
I've only seen (in person) one tornado in my life. It was scary, but I was able to observe it in my rear-view mirror as I fled the area.

Re: Secret Santa!
OK, all the magical little PMs have been sent out and you should all know the name/address of who you're supposed to be sending to now!
Jer did a few for me so I wouldn't know who was getting me (also the idea of PMing someone with "word up, you get to send ME a christmas present!" was a bit weird).
Try and post them as soon as possible to get them delivered by Christmas! Those who have people outside Europe especially!
