PC wizzys, look here!
Well, i need your help!
1. Is there any program that hides and password proteckts folders?
2. Are there any way to make some files not appear on "my recent documents", or how do i delete the my recent documents thing?
Any help is rewared whit an imagianary high five.

1. yes
2. download 'TweakUI' and tell it to wipe them when you shutdown or restart. or just right click the start bar -> properties - > clear recent documents list.
this is being moved to the right forum btw...

when you run them on an NTFS partition you can set permissions on file/folder level.
If you run any of these on FAT you can convert them with the built in converter (atleast there is a converter in win2k server) or with partition magic.
NOTE:
Partition magic DOES NOT RUN under win2k Server (tried that already), and the internal converter cannot convert back to FAT (one way conversion only (tried that too))
As for clearing the last-opened-documents thingy, there is an option in the taskbar options. I PRESUME there is a Windows-call for it too which you could use if you're a bit handy with programming (ie: timer calling the function every x minutes).
I THINK it should also be possible to delete the shortcuts with a program (win98 has these shortcuts in "C:\Windows\recent") (running through the files and deleting them on by one) and they shouldn't be in the menu anymore. I don't know what effect deleting the entire "recent" folder would have.
How to use the taskbar to delete: http://malektips.com/95wta0011.html
Sadly I was unable to find any calls that would clear this folder, but I guess deleting them would also work.

Partition Magic v5 works under 2k Server and NT4 Server. For later released they realised they could screw more money from System admins by stopping this

Breaking the NTFS file permissions quick HOWTO:
Use a non-MS NTFS interpreter (ie. a dualboot with linux with NTFS support enabled).
It simply ignores the permissions entirely.

I dont know any shorter way to do this in Win98, but you go to c:\windows\recent\ and delete eveything in there.
If you have different profiles go to c:\windows\profiles\NAME\recent\
simple!

PGPDisk allows you to create encrypted virtual disks.
