Single Malt Whisky?
Your preferance?
Mine is Glenmorangie, as smooth as a baby's bum, and silkier than a bride's nightie.

yes I have a leaning towards Talisker, very enjoyable, but at 27 quid a bottle, it has to be savoured for very special occasions.

A bottle is well out of budget, but the odd glass at the bar is affordable, there's one that begins with an L(augh?) or something like that, thats nice too. Not as strong a taste as talisker, but still the strong flavour

Laphroaig.
An Islay malt with a peaty after-taste, also a favourite of mine. I once sat in a Hilton Hotel bar and Drank a Bottle on the Company expense account.
The boss was underwhelmed by the £112 bar bill for one
night

Lagavulin is my favorite, and coming in at very close second is the glenfiddich solera reserve. mmmmmmmm *goes off to the kitchen for some*
I found the Bowmore 21 Year to be pretty tasty as well.
I am NOT impresssed with the Macallan 18 year. Though a lot of people do rave about it.
I recently was able to taste a malt by Auchentoshan 10 year old (a lowland scotch), and was plesenlty suprised. VERY smooth for a 10 yr. Even a little sweet. Now if i can just find someone that has a bottle of their 31 yr old. I hear its to die for.

Not touched a drop of Bushmills or any other whiskey since a bad experience involving a bottle of Glenmorangie, antibiotic tablets, an empty stomach, and 'some' vodka previously.
Throwing up blood just isn't right.

Though to be honest I prefer a nice Armagnac.

I don't generally drink whisky, the smell turns my stomach possibly because I live in a town with a distillery and in very hot weather the whole town stinks of it.
When I worked in the offlicense our most popular malt was Oban, but that's hardly surprising considering I live in Oban! Other than that it was Glenmorangie but I'd say that's only because it's probably the best known, and certainly the most widely advertised.
The only whisky I have ever tasted that I can actually enjoy is Johnnie Walker black label (yes I know it's not a malt).

All whisky's are MALT, some are blended, but they are MALT blends.
Anything else would not be whisky.
