sniping ebay auctions
I feel so dirty. I just won an auction using for the first time using a sniping website. It was sooooo easy that it feels dirty.

I believe it's a site where it enters your bid during the last 30 seconds or so.

Never sell on Ebay. You dont make shit from it. Ebay however profits nicely.

Re: sniping ebay auctions
I agree, selling on ebay is great for doing the online equivalent of car booting but people are too atuned to finding a bargain, or as our first posting friend pointed out, snapping something up at the lowest price possible. I do however have a good friend that seems to be making a fairly standard profit involving 'sniping' and then selling musical equipment on in the old fashioned way, IE Loot and the local rags.

The site i used ( Phanton bidder) will bid @ 3 seconds near the end even if you are sleeping. (which i was). In addition it will allow you to "group bid", which means that it will watch and bid on multible autions for you(at the price you set) once you win an item in that group , it cancles all other scheduled bids. While i normaly also wait to the last 30 seconds manualy, this was sooooo much easier because I could sleep and not worry about anything.

Re: sniping ebay auctions
I thought that when someone bids on an ebay item and there's less than an hour left on the auction it increases the time left to one hour. That kind of defeats the purpose of bidding 30 seconds before the end doesn't it?

Re: sniping ebay auctions
That seems silly as auctions could go on FOREVER that way.

Re: sniping ebay auctions
I could have sworn I'd read that on the ebay website as one of their auction rules. But looking now I can't find it, so I guess I'm just seeing things again.
Time to go back on the pills.

I've never seen ebay do that. Would defeat the fun of last minute frenzies (for the the seller) when a 10 dollar item sells for 50.

There would still be last minute frenzies of a sort, except every time someone bidded there was another hour to go, so it would go on FOREVER
