i don't know if you all remember him, but 1,5 - 2 years ago if i remember well, there was a thread on these boards with the announcement that he died.
well, he didn't obviously. spoke to him on IRC a few minutes ago. and no, i don't think it was someone who's pretending to be him as there's no reason to do that and he knew what he was talking about.
so, if he didn't die....then is this the second 'death-joke' after the 'death of frag'?
kind of sick....in this case there's never been an announcement that it was a joke, and a lot of people, including myself, thought he was dead.
i don't really know what to think or say atm, i'm a bit confused now...
just thought i had to post this, for the people who care(d) about him.

I wonder what the point of making it all up was though, usually when you do a prank like that you eventually fess up to it so you get the credit for the prank.

edit: I do remember NitinA and the thread about him.

It would be the third 'fake' death I think.
The second being Keger (GLX HC). Who supposedly died while hiking in some mountains during round 6. Then miraculousy reappeared on IRC a few months later....

well depends on who did the joke if it was it himself then yes, but if somebdody did it without knowhing him i would be glad that he is allright and not dead

and ofc be pissed off with the people who said he was dead.

To be perfectly honest people who play this kind of trick are really pathetic, there is absolutely no need for it.

All it does is makes people more suspicious of when people really die.

As for NitinA not knowing about it, How the hell can he not know? surely if he knew and didnt support it then he would have come forward shortly afterwards.

It's a really awful subject to discuss to be frank.

It was a sad day when i heard of his passing, and indeed if it was not true, then it would be somewhat sad to hold such a stunt and for what gain? For some post cards, i don't think so.

Obviously it was his mate who needed some extra attention, or just thought it would be fun (yeah, joking with death is fun "ha...ha")
NitinA went to a military school without really quitting PA or telling anyone, and around that time this guy decided to let NitinA die, prolly to get famous or something, dont know really.

So whatever, his mate did it, no need to blame NitinA, and YES its the real one, so lets just be glad he's still alive and welcome him back
