Old Person Hair Is Coming To Get Me
After my last haircut, I noticed a few gray hairs poking through the general dark hair above my ears. Not cool. I have no idea where this puts me versus the average person; my dad has been graying as long as I can remember. Now he's 58 and probably running only 5-10% non-white.

Now, I'm not 'that guy' that actually spends time and effort on his hair. Outside of haircuts, I don't think a comb or brush has touched my hair in more than a year now. I wake up and get out of bed, and it's pretty much perfect (strangely if I lay in bed for a while after waking up, my hair will usually be spiked up in some ridiculous fashion.). But I'm not sure if I can accept graying right now.

So I need a plan. Loosely what I'm working with right now is waiting until I get a real job, and then starting to dye my hair. And NEVER TURNING BACK. A lot of finality there, but desparate times etc.

At least I'm not balding. I would cry. And I would pour whatever weird chemicals were at the drugstore on my head every night. But it doesn't look like it'll be necessary, I see lots of people my age thinning, and I'm not one of them. Is late onset balding common?

So, any idea what old person hair has in store for you? And are you planning on fighting back, and how (double bonus points to anyone already toupee shopping), or am I pretty much just a vain poof?

i pulled out my first grey hair last week, it was a bit of a shock but i am still hoping it was a one off.
should it not be i will reach for the nice and easy and no one will ever know

I can't wait to go grey my family has a long tradition of men going not grey but pure white which is sort of softer

I was so proud of my moustache being pure white and deeply upset when a bee ran away with it.

i started going grey when i was 16, at 25, i'm about 30% grey now, and every time i go to the hairdresser she takes the piss (i have been going to the same person since i was about 10)
