Benchmarking

My dad has just built a new computer so he can digitize all his slides and negatives and whack them onto a dvd and he wants to test if everything is working at it's optimum performance. So, does anyone know of any good (preferably free) processor and graphics benchmarking programs?

Re: Benchmarking

Hmm everybody else seems to be too lazy to reply

http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html...uy&langx=en&a=
http://www.dr-hardware.com/

The reference benchmark for 3D: http://www.futuremark.com/products/3dmark05/
There are also some system benchmarks on the same site.

There is also http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html

I personally wouldnt trust a *.ru site to download stuff from but it can be useful as a benchmark index.

Re: Benchmarking

It's just that what he says he wants to do could be done at good speed on an old 500mhz P2.

Not to mention that it's unlikely that anything is broken in the first place, he'd have noticed long ago.
