VoIP Phone System - Need some advice/help

I currently have an account with sipgate (www.sipgate.co.uk)

However im interested in finding out whether its possible to have multiple incoming calls. I.e. whilst im on the phone to 'person a' it allows person b to call and places them in a queue with music or something.

Is this possible without purchasing rather pricey and expensive equipment?

Re: VoIP Phone System - Need some advice/help

With ye olde PSTN then yes it's all down to expensive equipment.
With VOIP it should be easier as it's done entirely in software... however, the equipment would still need to be at your providers end as far as I can see. At the moment if you have more than one incomming call I imagine it either gives them an engaged signal or goes to voicemail? That's all down to how they chose to deal with that situation.

If you wanted to do it at your end you'd be back to buying call-centre-stylee equipment I guess.
Maybe try asking sipgate?
