O2 Online....again
Right well their email support is having 'technical difficulties' so I thought I'd see if anybody here knows if this is possible............
I'm 17 and ofc o2 dont let u buy a contract phone over the inet unless you are 18. However I can still set up direct debit's on my bank account. Soooo what I was wondering was is it possible for an adult to buy the phone for me, but register it in my name and get the monthly contract coming out of my account?
Any help is appreciated.

Re: O2 Online....again
My friend did something simular, although he got the adult to pay the direct debit until he was 18 and then transfered payment details at that point. From what he told me they wouldn't let them come out of his account when he was 17, but don't take as 100% fact.

Re: O2 Online....again
Get your parents or whoever to pay for it from their account then you pay them the money, either in cash or set up a direct debit into their account.

I thought I might have to do this. However this would mean the phone would be registered in my parent's name till I am 18. Any way for it to be registered in my name, then parents pay for it and I pay them?

How will your parents registering as you help if you're not 18?

Re: O2 Online....again
The phone might be great, but o2-online have the shoddiest service ever. You might go "well I don't care" but trust me, you will. I'm with o2 "offline" and they're bad enough. Took me 4 phonecalls over the space of 2 weeks to sort out my bill. Meanwhile my phone was cut off. It's a hassle.

Re: O2 Online....again
Phone T-monile directly - they'll match O2 onlines Tariffs.
Not sure if you get a new phone tho.
And you can't initially set up a direct debit from another persons account - It will automatically fail the credit check.
You should be able to do it after a month or so though.
