I agree with Robert Mugabe
Thats a sign to kill yourself isnt it?
EDIT: The points he makes about elections is true in a sense, but that would be deemed as "both systems as bad as eachother"

OH NOES!
"He also questioned the legitimacy of George Bush's 2000 election victory, saying Mr Bush was in no position to lecture Zimbabwe on democratic elections. "
Mr Bush didn't starve the opposition voters and send armed mobs to intimadate voters.
"Mr Mugabe says that the West is waging a campaign to vilify him because of his policy of redistributing land from whites to blacks. "
Killing white farmers who virtually run the Zimbabwean economy and burning the crops and handing it over to totally inexperienced gangs.
"Iraq might have developed or desired to develop arms of mass destruction. But the United States has massive arms of that magnitude."
The US aren't going to bomb Israel, and the Jews run the world!

Why the **** didn't they just have a system whereby you have to put an 'X' in a box to designate your choice, instead of having a ****ing magical mystery machine to punch in your choice on a ****ing card?

People screw up putting 'X's in boxes too. They mark multiple boxes, or put the 'X's outside of the box(es), or they mark the wrong box and instead of getting a new ballot they try to erase it or cross it out.
You can't make an idiot-proof ballot--idiots are just too damn creative.

Yes, but when you consider that both the machine and the ballots thmselves were absolutely idiotic pieces of work in Florida, having to only put a cross in a clearly designed ballot seems a slight improvment in towards helping the idiots.

I am fairly certain that thermobaric bombs, daisy cutters and napalm are not officially classified as weapons of mass destruction. Also, contrary to some people's belief, Agent Orange is not a WMD either.
To acropolis: Those weren't armed mobs, they were lawyers.

Which office is it that made the distinction official?

I think that would be the office of the United Nations, which is not officially an office of the United States government last time I checked.

Does this mean that this was a sound and rational decision, or that it wasn't?

What about nuclear weapons? You can hardly say the US track record is very good.
