[F-Crew] Recruitment for R17

In a galaxy far far away and yet just around the corner, just to the right of the constellation with the incredibly humorous but unmentionable shape, lies the headquarters of a raiding band of strange misfits, a group so far removed from normality as to have scared even the participants of Celebrity Big Brother, a group known as…..
[F-Crew]

The creation of this oddball group came about in the early days of space exploration, when everyone was still wondering what would happen if you wet yourself in 0 gravity (A question answered when an anonymous astronaut had too much tequila at the after-orbit party, and who’s loose fitting boxers failed to contain the erroneous liquid causing the well known “yellow-out” of 2034) and if Elvis was still out there somewhere.
Mcdonalds had gone universal and its infamous “sewage coke” was now considered a delicacy on 3 planets. In the Farnborough branch of McD’s (a town disqualified from earth for shoving and subsequently relocated to Pluto) a small group of shifty looking individuals were sampling Saturn Supremes and discussing the rising hostilities between the various factions within the empire. Knowing citizens of dubious mental stability such as themselves would never be part of anything good within the giant corporations of the times, they devised a plan to create a small armed smuggling group utilising Farnborough as their base of operations. The 3 instigators of this disorganized rabble were Wakey, Mike and Bazz. Of these intrepid mongrels only 1 still lives today, biting, scratching and hair pulling in the name of [F-Crew]

[F-Crew] was originally formed as The Farnborough Crew back in R1 as the 3 founders had noticed a growing number of people in their college playing Planetarion and decided to group those people together under 1 tag. However the alliance began to steadily grow, and as its membership began to more and more resemble the cast of The Rocky Horror show, the requirement to be from Farnborough was dropped, and the name shortened to [F-Crew].

The alliance is now one of the longest running allies in the game along with ND (u lot always argue ) and is the only ally to play every single round uninterrupted, all the while led by its figurehead (and prime advertiser for using the yellow pages to reach eye-level) Wakey, otherwise known as Wakka Hamstah.

With a new command group underneath him (ill let you make your own jokes) Wakey has elevated [F-Crew] to new levels in recent rounds, 15th in R12, 14th in R13 followed by a big surprise as [F-Crew]’s members came out of hibernation to finish an impressive 6th in R14. With slightly less elevated alertness in R15 (blamed on an epidemic of 24 hour dozes and naps instigated by –SS- ) [F-Crew] retained a top 10 spot in the slightly lower 9th position. R16 saw a rebirth of fighting spirit and immunisation jabs against sleeping, and utilising multiple pre-emptive strikes against the hostile infidels and dastardly huns, [F-Crew] finished in a personal best of 5th having spent a large proportion of the round in 3rd.

[F-Crew] is based on an attitude of fun and acceptance, all players old and new are welcome with only IRC activity being a requirement (a lack of sanity and an addiction to bacon are however useful). This gives us a large memberbase filled with fun people always willing to help out and advise when you have problems, and take the piss out of you when you don’t.

I just wanted to make a quick post aimed at anyone with experiance whom is looking for an alliance but whom instinctivly passes over us due to the "Training alliance" tag.

Other people have turned the word Training Alliance into meaning the same as Feeder alliance and thats not the case. A Training alliance is not an alliance lacking in quality and whos only reason for being is as a stepping stone into a senior alliance. A Training alliance may very well be willing to give people a chance but they do still contain enough quality to compete at a good level. The simple fact is a training alliance needs quality players with experiance to help shape the many rough diamonds we take under our wing.

So please think before discarding us as an option as we offer the opertunity for all levels of player to get something out of the game. So if you have experiance and maybe want a more relaxed time than in your elite alliance and would like to use your experiance to help bring the next batch of PA players through then give us a go

THe other side of being a training alliance, is training people in other skills and abilites in PA,.. such as being a BC/recruiter/pub quiz team (or have we stopped that now wakey?).
Plus, F-crew is a place where you don't have the preasure that some of the other top 10 alliances place on you, yet still having the chance to gain top 10-100 spots, depending on how much you put into it yourself

Anyway, i'll be spending another round with F-crew, so hope to see you there.

Notice how Raz has to be different. Everyone uses Yellow for the F-Crew text in their sig and he decideds to use green. Although supirised its not in a tartan patern

And if those are the questions your asking I'm surprised we can recruit anyone, I'd have thought they would run a mile
