excuses for missing a lesson?

I was wondering if we could collaborate a big excuse list for why I/fellow board members would miss a lesson (of whatever form of education).

I've used plenty in my time but what's all your lists? Least we could do as a xmas present for each other :)

I had just dropped acid, and didn't want to disturb the lesson with my ramblings

Re: excuses for missing a lesson?

"I'm sorry I didn't attend yesterday's Media lesson, but I went to see the Matrix Revolutions, because what with us doing about Action Films and all, I though it would give me a valuable insight into the aforementioned genre. Please do not punish me for my actions, because I suffered enough by watching it."
This one only works if you're doing Media Studies though, although it could probably be reworked to suit almost any lesson.

Re: excuses for missing a lesson?

I just generally say I didn't really feel like it, I had some things to do. If you say it in a sufficiently serious manner, and answer any follow up questions with a pained "Don't ask" it generally works. They think you had to arrange your mothers funeral rather than just watch a Justice League marathon or whatever you were doing.
