Hurricane!
Im currently residing in Orlando florida. Kissimmee to be precise. For any of you even remotely interested in the weather we have a catagory 4 hurricane heading directly for us

Winds are projected at 140mph and its being billed as the worst storm in the history of central florida.

And im here.

I live on the Orange/Osceola border and the power was just restored here. When the storm got here it was a Cat 2 and the eye passed real close to here if not right over our neighborhood. We lost all of our roof shingles and the entire fence around the house. There are some houses in our neighborhood with trees fallen on them and roofs ripped right off. We got lucky with the little damage we did have. Areas 100 miles southwest of here were hit really badly. Just look at some of these pictures in my local newspaper www.orlandosentinal.com. Well back to the clean up.

I live in a decent part of Florida, and since we pay more taxes than the scum in Orlando, we didn't get hit at all.

Note: It's a fact of life that hurricanes/tornadoes always seem to hit trailer parks.

Solution: Move the trailer parks 50 miles from any civilised people, and let all the redneck in-bred trailer trash get sucked up to their doom while the rest of us sip on margueritas and enjoy the show.

I had no work to do on friday and was sent home. All because out servers are based in...you guessed it...florida.
Apparently the power went out and the building the servers were in had a tree fall on it. So no-one was left near the thing. This ment that all Palm internal company networks and support agenceis around the world had a very unproductive last few days

Yay for hurricanes.

hmmm...I think Kissimee is out of power for like the next few days. Charley did a small bit of smashing the **** out of everything in it's way.

It also did a fair bit of natural selection too by killing off about 16 people that didn't think they needed to leave their TRAILER PARK before the 185mph gusts and 145mph+ sustained winds tore it into little tiny bits..
