I`ve just gone to ACAD today.
I`ve just gone to ACAD today for the 1st time (Advice and Counselling on Alcohol and Drugs). I`ve been drinking massive amounts for far too long, and stopped drinking a month ago for a day and a half, and suffered a big fit and lost consciousness, and spent the night in A + E. I was lucky to have survived, so I`m told. They were really good, and it`s free. Just a group "drop in service" where everyone sits around and talks with key workers. My bosses are supportive and cool about this. Has this happened to anyone else here? I just wanted to mention this.

PS: I went back to the A + E department today because of withdraw symptoms; could not help me with Librium, just a referal to my GP. The advice I was given by the Doc was "to have another drink" would you believe!
