The winner of the comming round will be the alliance that has best managed to keep their alliance active and talking over the interviening months, which gives them a bigger and better active member base when the round actually starts.

Time will be the killer of alliances in r9, rebuilding a member base takes alot of time and effort, if you have a decent one to start off the round then you will be leagues ahead of the competition.

No-one really knows atm who has that head start, who has kept that base steady.... the first weeks of round 9 will be the thing that shows that... Round 9 will be an unusual round for the sheer fact of the amount of time since Round 8 ended and the way it ended. All aliances are on virgin ground now, this will be a first time for a round, with possibly the exception of round 1 when this has happened, I am greatly looking forward to round 9.

Actually i didnt ever shout at anyone in the gal, i gave up running for GC due to you being a total noob and it threatening to split us apart.

Heresy was not run by me, but by KM, i was a part of the HC, i didnt really have a say in things such as IA etc....

I never knew about the no-MDK 'thing' but you have actually got 3 MDK members, mayby more, ill find out sooner or later.

What i know isnt about your name/command etc... what i know isnt on concern to anyone on these boards.

The fact thta i got this justifies my comment that 'Eclipse will not be as good as Fury' That is all im going to say. I doubt any alliance will top what Fury have accomplished and i mean no disrespect to Eclipse/Etc...

Seems that Eclipse has been discussing its allies over the past two weeks and has pretty much reached a verdict on who they will ally with, but as i say, i wont release no information due to Rob being a HC and him being my friend. This will not stop me getting information about you, but it will stop me harming Eclipse in anyway.

Also if you have not got Fury's goals, please tell your members this before they go saying to others 'We are the new Fury'

The members want the final cooked meal once its done, not the incredents. Also if they are really that talkactive as you claim it will only work in our advantage if they claim this and that and seduce ppl like you into wrong believes.
And our alliances politics (which arent in any way sorted) are not really something which has to be released or what our members need to know about before we actually make a final agreement with someone. Sounds logic if they are little talkers or ?

You won't release any information because you don't have any - certainly nothing beyond that which is 'common knowledge' to those 'in the know' - i.e. anyone who cares enough to find out. Making this out to be uber1337 intel is a bit silly :\ . As a further point, the diplomatic picture is not complete (I should know, since diplomacy/politics is my brief), and so any 'intel' you may have is likely to be based on information which is outdated by the time the round starts

The whole 'new Fury' thing is a bit silly too - it reminds me of all the people claiming that Deus was the 'new Tuba' - many people expected it to be such at first, but over the course of round 6 it acquired a distinct identity and reputation of its own. I expect that the same will happen in this case, despite some people not wishing to engage their brains and merely applying the first convenient label that they can think of to the alliance.

I'm not going to bother to respond to the rest of the thread because most of it is just speculation. Suffice to say that Eclipse's direction for r9 is quite simply to provide a fun and interesting round for our members and the community as a whole, and just to have some enjoyment from PA.

I have to say you are wrong with the 'certainly not HCed' comment.

Im not saying Eclipse is a 'new Fury', far from it - it isnt, nor is it intended to be.

But if there was to be a new Fury at any point - it would have to be led by people who had been close to Sid within Fury (An Executive at least) since only them had the charisma in Fury, and knowhow of its cloaked policies.

Fluffing my ego, I think r5 Wrath was the closest thing to 'another Fury' within every round of PA and that did not have Sid leading it. I think you give discredit to people like me and Germania with your comment (not that I, nor Germ probably, or interested in ever trying for a new Fury)

Fury will never be copied, nor revived in any way except with Sid's explicit permission and guidance. Its a disservice to it otherwise.

First of all i have to say that the best thing i gained from r8 and from my galaxy was Mel. He is a great player, i am 100% sure that he didnt cheat and he is a great guy to chat with or do other things.^^

I know that he had some flaws, for example he wanted very much to get the GC position and it was really annoying at the start, when i didnt know him.

About Aneu, he claimed at the start of the round that he had some problems with his rl. I dont want to share them inpublic ofc, but i can understand him why his planet was so behind. That was the reason which he lost the leadership of the galaxy, and when he came back he just gave his account to another person, saying that he is going to play in another galaxy. I didnt like that move at all.

Anyway, i have to say that i know nothing about Aneu, i cant say good or bad words for him, and i dont like the way he speaks to MelAn in this thread. I know Mel, and i wish i could play with him again. I fully support mel's words cause i know he is telling the truth and he defends himself with the truth against some wrong opinions of his 1 week gal m8 Aneu.
