i suppose thats possible, i didnt know the rating, just the hype. it was never hyped much over here, but it certainly has a loyal following. i cant think of a person that's seen that movie that didnt love it.

Streetfighter was without exageration of over- emphasis, one of the worst movies ever made in the history of human civilisation. If it was rated at all by anyone as being anything other than human sheite pressed and stretched onto a movie reel, then it was overrated.
However, whoever said "The Prophecy" gets 20 points. Class movie.

I would say Strange brew, gotta love Bob and Doug along with an evil brewmeister. What else could you ask for?
Heavy Metal, showing my age but a killer soundtrack and a good story. Also the last major motion picture that was drawn "by hand" w/o the assistance of computer graphics.
Finally The Rocky Horror picture show, another flick with a good soundtrack. Funny spoof of the old monster movies. I dont think any movie ever made evoked as much crossdressing

So overrated that very few people know what it is
Anyway Chasing Amy is a fantastic film and really doesnt get the praise it deserves. Then again all the View Askew films are great films although Jay and Silent Bob Strike back and Mallrats are perhaps the weakest of the lot (Still better than 99% of movies though)

I agree it is an excellent film, but plastered all over the front cover (at least here) are quotes/reviews etc about how good it is.
This along with an Academny Award Nomination for best actor in a leading role and a Golden Satellite Award for Best Actor, Hollywood Film Festival Best Actor of the year....etc
I don't think it's underrated, but it is good.
