pa is dying... long time coming

fewer and fewer people are signing up, and more and more people are leaving.

in its best rounds planetarion had more then 50 thousand accounts. alot of them were farms and multis but in a way that was better...

people would not get singled out as much as today and the galaxies was larger and had more activity and life.

personally i doubt planetarion will survive much longer, maybe 2-3 rounds tops.
when planetarion was free the mirc channels sometimes collapsed
on the account of overload because pa went down and everyone logged on to say WTF!!

hehe yeah, that was the fun parts.

so either planetarion needs to find another way to fund themselves or recruit a LOT of new players to the game to make the game diverse again.

maybe it would be an idea to remove the option to make galaxies with your friends. that would make galaxies random and u would not get powerblock galaxies feeding of those who just start out and do not have as much experience or those with too few planets.


problem is that everyone is so set in their ways that any changes to any of the before mentioned suggestions would be most likely un-doable.

i dont know if "mer" is still playing but she would be the only one that could talk some sense into the horde of unwashed teenagers and maybe get something done.

I think most people already know all if this.

I do agree much change is needed, of course it is and random galaxies i also feel is a need. The game atm is stupid, i am part of a massive block that is falling over itself in search of targets, every night its no longer a struggle to organise an attack and get it covered, but more being able to find a valid target for people who are screaming out for it.

Now myself personally i will play round 10, as i am very interested to see what it will be like and if it can change what is indeed the downhill slippery slope we are on at the moment. But if r10 was to be another round like this one with little changes i wouldnt play, and i very much doubt half the people bored out of their minds right now would either.

I for the record quit actively playing pa today after 6rounds, probably how i found th motivation to post this , i can only hope r10 will be the thing that will turn it around because atm i feel planetarion isnt worth the time i put into it, i never thought i would be one of the ones to say this but its worn me down.

up your post score or try to feel like your dumb coment actually matter u might be better of getting in your head that the creators may not have a clue how to fix this thing and start making suggestions instead.

Large steps are being taken to try and get PA back on track, and round 10 will be heavily advertised and should bring new players back to the game.

I dont think there are heavy caliber enough to make people p2p something they have no idea about. Of course if they come up with some trial-system or so it might be possible. Otherwise I dont think there can be that dramatic massjoining that the game currently needs.
Guess we have to wait and see.

we lost many good players, dedicated players, but we also get new ppl all the time.

But PA isnt dying, it has just started up with new owners, let them have some time, and dont nag them about this complaining all the time!!
