Broadband
Ok my crappy little village gets broadband next week (amazingly) and I want too know what decent deals there are out there for the UK.
I preferably don't want a download limit, ie wanadoo's 2gb limit/month is fking crap.
I know theres Websites bout this stuff but im lazy.
So please leave a list with Prices and Names of providers and ure ratings of them.
Thanks,

Re: Broadband
If you can get it via cable (ie. Telewest Blueyonder OR ntl) then they're now doing it 50% faster for the same money.
1/2Mb connections now 3/4Mb
1Mb now 1.5Mb
and 2Mb now 3Mb
(upgrades happening for all current customers by the end of May 2004 (note: i only looked at the blueyonder site, but I'm told NTL are doing the same))

Re: Broadband
I've never had a problem with Pipex, and i've been with them for three and a bit years.
BT werent too bad (service wise), but i had a couple of problems with them billing me twice every quarter. First time, i was refunded, second time they didnt refund me so i ditched them. Pipex are ace tho.

Re: Broadband
over the last couple of years we have had both nildram and zen, some pissy problems with both, both ok mostly though, even though their tech support can be a bit stupid

Re: Broadband
I'd add another recommendation for Pipex.
Currently using Clara.net (I think we went with them because they gave more than 8 Static IPs) and they're pretty good too. A few more service outtage issues than with Pipex though.

Re: Broadband
www.freedom2surf.com is the one I use. And at £22.50 a month (unlimited access) I bet you couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else!
Plus their tech support is good.

Re: Broadband
I`m thinking of getting Telewest broadband. There`re doing a special offer this month. £19.99 per month unlimited access, 512 kb. Free co-ax cable, modem and installation. The 1st payment you make is £50, which is 2 1/2 months rental in advance. Not bad.
