Exile them, or are your ministers inactive as well?
I was in 38:3 this round and it was made up of mostly exiles(including me), if a player didnt come on irc we exiled them, straight away.
We didnt do so badly.

Re: Solution to the buddy pack problems:
Private galaxies mean new players who may actually be good (arrogant players, shut up already) don't get a chance to compete realisticly.
Likewise players with no friends/lame alliance also have no chance.

well...
I kindda agree with the fact that more than 5 ppl in a gal is kindda pushed.so if a new guy comes to play this game for the first time, and he doesnt know anyone, what does he do?!
if the buddy code utility could be expended,that would solve the problem!like 5 buddies,,4 is good too!6...whatever;

Re: Solution to the buddy pack problems:
the problem is that there were gals with 3 buddy packs and 1 random and gals with 1 buddy pack and 7 randoms.
Pa Crew should just wait for ppl sign up and then put 1 or 2 buddy packs into a gal and then fill up with randoms. so it would be fair.
not like 1LCH, 1 1up and 1 Mistu buddy pack with 1 random

Re: Solution to the buddy pack problems:
Why not just have buddie packs containing 5 members with only one per gal giving 5 actives 5 randoms,
or as i think was mentioned earlier limit each gal to 2 buddy packs of 3 each with 4 randoms. fair enough to give noobs a chance but also fair to give good players (who in random galaxys could get stuck with inactives) a chance of a decent round?

Re: Solution to the buddy pack problems:
If your gonna have a private/randomn gal you need it to be a 10/5 split anything less then 15 people in those kind of gals just doesnt work. This type of split gives the gal a chance and allows the the new randomns a chance to learn something. aka a win win for everyone

Re: Solution to the buddy pack problems:
just for the love of god, make the numbers the same. Don't do a random has more people system, you make them stick out like a sore (unorganised easy first attack) thumb.
Simple solution gals of 9 made of 3 groups of 3. you select to join an existing 3 (requires code of creator of group) or join "random" 3. 2 buddy groups to 1 random, all gals the same size with at least 6 out of 9 active, and yet suficiently randomised mixed gals to prevent blocking to any significant degree (ie 3 1ups next to 3 mistu in one gal, but 3 ND next to 3 vision in another or whatever) so you don't get the stagnation priv gals in a small uni brings. PLUS you get to introduce maybe 1 active random into the group and if he's good enough, you'll have 2 alliance groups monitoring him for recruitment.
You even avoid the 3 mixed alliances in one buddy, because who knows which alliances will be in the othe rbuddy group.
that was supposed to be a daft suggestion, but actually.... I quite like it, it might work....
Bet no-one bothers reading it tho

Re: Solution to the buddy pack problems:
who stopped and thought if it becomes private or 10 priv + 5 random, we'll see blocks of 400+ planets on each side again? Not that i'd whine, but i'm sure the general whining level would be a lot higher than with the current buddypack that somewhat limits alliances from overdoing the blocking
