i got to try one of these on the weekend. i went with bonnie to her friend's gf's 25th bday party. a bunch of people from lake louise came to party, and a couple of them were british. one girl ordered a snakebite so i thought i'd try it.

it was alright. she said they make you drunk. it didn't :\ ah well. (i don't like beer much.. it wasn't the greatest drink)

Where I come from they (used to) do snakebite & black, beer, cider and blackcurrant.

Lol NO! That's Coke & Fanta Orange (well, COULD use Lemon I guess), leading to a unique brownish colour. But it's without alk. There's an own "brand" for it, Mezzo Mix.

Don't mix it up with Coke & Alt Beer (a very nice dark beer, a tiny bit like Guinness), which looks similar.

I don't normally grace these forums with my presence but i pressed the wrong botton and the name of this thread cort my eye :P

At one stage in my varried life I drank alot of these Snakebites. Mainly of the Snaky B viriaty ( another name not metioned yet is Purple Nasty, quite apropriate in meny ways) you can also have a Snake Bite and Blu ( blue bols) but i wouldn't recomend this as it is quite the worse thing i have ever drunk. And i've drunk alot.

The name Diesel come from the fact it's the same colour that Army diesel in the 2nd world war was dyed to stop ppl niccking it.

Final thing: Snake bite and black is ilegel to sell in the uk as it is considered a 'lethal ****tail'. You can serve the indervidual parts, but not mixed to gether (there is an odd exeption to this. It is legal in uni unions)

No it isn't. It is illegal in drinking establishments without a ****tail licence, as it is classed as a ****tail. A lot of places who shouldn't serve it serve it though.

if you try ordering in it in kingsgate they give you such a hacky look but thats about the only place
