Searching for good music recommendations
Jazz style. Or any other good music (no dance, metal or anything released within the last five years though please).

Re: Searching for good music recommendations
I've been listening to Marilyn Manson (the singer, not the faggot socialist) and Sarah Brightman recently and like both, also why the neophobia?

Re: Searching for good music recommendations
I haven't liked anything I've heard on the radio in the past few years which was preceded by the sentence "and this one has just been released and is a big hit in the states". I'd say there's been about a dozen exceptions in total, if that. And who's Sarah Brightman?

She's like a cross between classical music and opera and pop, but is really really really good and you should listen to some stuff by her

Re: Searching for good music recommendations
I need song names though. I don't really want to download entire albums for a couple of songs. Just the more famous ones would do as it's an area I've only recently developed an interest in.

Re: Searching for good music recommendations
not sure if you search for that:
John Coltrane - Blue Train
John Coltrane - I'm Old Fashioned
John Coltrane - Equinox
John Coltrane - Lazy Bird
Miles Davis - Blue In Green
Miles Davis - Freddie Freeloader
Miles Davis - Flamenco Sketches
Gangstarr - Jazz Thing
Nina Simone - My Baby Just Cares For Me
Charlie Mingus Feat. Max Roach - Lady Bird
Most of 'em are slow..
