So, we all know the 2 "cheaters" as some refrain to them as, they recieved ingal donation from their gal mates, So from my point of view their gal mates are support planets wich i would look on as cheating.

Planets in a certain galaxy or alliance can never be support planets for that galaxy or alliance. That's inherent in the definition of the term 'support planet' as it has been used since the introduction of the rule against them. Therefore, it does not apply to this case.

On the other hand, "donation" is a bit of nebulous term. If they're just using the galfund, then that's perfectly within the rules. If you mean donating through salvage or ship stealing, then that's likely a breach of one of the farming clauses of the EULA.

Why did you post about them here, rather than just reporting them to the MHs? That's what they're there for, after all.

Its a perfectly fine tactic thats been around since the dawn of planetarion.
Nothing what so ever wrong with it.
Cov-oppers has been known for be cov-opping to donate to gal mates aswell.

It is someone either in the same galaxy or in the same tag thats giving away their resources for some tactical reason.
There is limitation to donating, and afaik they are working pretty well.
Its the same as giving away scans and sending escorts in my world, though ive never gotten any

I'd be interested in how. I can't think of a way that hasn't been used yet and the donation limit remains the same. I would still support a 30 mill limit per planet instead of 50 mill, but I think it's a fun tactical option I wouldn't want to lose.

I guess on a planet level we haven't really had someone land 10k xp early in the round same tick as getting the donation which would ofc put you miles in front, but donating too early often ends up hurting more than helping and you can't really get much score/xp before it due to having to stay below gal average. To go for mega xp early you'd also need siege, which likely means you'll go cath and maybe demo(spend bonus+research), either way you'll lack hct/core compared to others at the start and even huge caths get incoming.

Stacking via the core route is pretty slow, and even with donation on top it's not really "extreme". It's what cardi did this round.

There have also been several examples of people getting donation and initiating to a high amount of roids, then exiled to c200. Dav being the latest of those.

Donations have a self limiting factor in that you can only get it once unless you crash or really go inactive on low roids (like Zhil). Either way, it won't turn a bad player into a brilliant one, it's just 50 mill res, less than 5% of what you need for a top planet.

Gal wise, donations have been done to death and has pretty much become of hallmark of a top galaxy. If I saw a new way to innovate there, I would have tried it already

Anyway, I'd love to see a good donation tactics I haven't tried, so good luck!
