Ive just read the threads that were made about his dismissal. They were saved so i could read all the comments made.
Jester was one of the best mods whos been on AD. I will freely admit to him being a good choice thanks to advice from others. He did the job amazingly well. When he first was appointed i had complaints about him being 'too alliance linked' from various posters but ignored them because i knew that given the chance he would work out. He was someone i trusted and someone i knew could handle the board well. Although not everyone liked him he proved to be increadibly motivated and did his job well.
He cared for the community and wanted to help and be a part of it.
Now, Jester has freely admitted that his dismissal and banning is fully justified. He has stated that he doesnt feel 'hard done-by'.

****** is bannable on the forums and always has been. Regardless of Joke or not, it is totally unacceptable to post a link to it. This is not an 'elitist' over 18 board where you can post 'in-jokes' that you know other people have seen before. Some people will not have seen it before.
However, what i am most concerned about is the fact you seem to think i am "GD biased". The fact it was posted on GD wasnt even raised tbh. I found out about it after returning from a trip to Worcester. I was told Jester had posted a ****** link on the forums and that Karm had taken action to suspend his account pending my own decision on the matter.
The fact it was GD did not even enter into the equation.
As for the 'One rule for AD and different rules for everyone else'; The Planetarion Forum rules are broad and fair. They have evolved from earlier 'drafts' several times into what you see today. They act as a broad basis for moderators to work from and give users a general feeling of what they can and cannot do. It states quite clearly pornography is not allowed and will lead to account deletion.
If you break the rules on one forum you get banned from all of them. There is no preferential treatment over 'serious offences' such as porn linking (this is a case in point - i dont and didnt want to remove jester and its sad that ive had too.)
Ok....as for the 'whether i shouldve made the thread or not' arguement.
I had requests from moderators to make the thread to 'clear things up' and i believe its my duty as the adminstrator to make sure the community is informed of WHY actions are taken place. If i hadnt told you or said 'its a secret' then the conspiracy theories wouldve flown and rumours spread. I posted the original thread because i felt the need to inform the AD community of Jesters Departure.
I will miss Jester and im sure the other mods will too. These actions were not taken to 'spite him' or because he posted on GD. The action was taken because every moderator HAS to adhere to the rules. If they dont then they do not provide a good example to others. The moderators are bound by the same rules as the rest of the users and if they are seen to abuse these rules and get away with it then the respect and confidence will dissapear.
The mods are not chosen because they are 'friends'. There is no 'conspiracy of friends' or 'us and them'. I didnt even know Jester. I had only heard about him through reputation and the good word spread by others. The mods are chosen because they are 'good people' trying to do a job to help the community.
We cannot have one rule for the users and one rule for the mods.
I have nothing further to say on this issue which is why the thread will be closed. I would appreciate if no further 'angry' threads were made. If you have grievences then PM me. Contrary to popular belief i do reply.
