He presses a button on the comm-set putting the mentat on hold and calls in a few advisors. Following a heated 10 minute conversation, he comes back on the line.

"Okay, what would your house need in return for this, and what do you have in mind specifically."

"All we need is your assistance in times of battle if we so should request aid, and in return we shall offer our services to you in battle, along with any intelligence either you or we should obtain until such a time when we are the only 3 left on arrakis to contest it, at such time we can either split the profits and continue the allignment or just kill each other"

He leans over to his mentats which have formed a half circle around his desk, papers still scattered across the floor, and has a hurried conversation with his advisors.

"Fine. We agree to this proposal at the moment, and we will send over some advisors to work on co-ordination between our people. We are sending over a small delegation with 100c of spice and some gifts from the people in our villages as a sign of good will."

"Agreed, we will be pleased to recive your gifts and will be waiting for your delegation to arrive, would you like us to send our carryall to pick them up or is there more people than it can hold?"

"Yes Master." Ikara thumbed the communication back on.

"We are intrested in your proposal, but we have some... guidelines... that need argement to before this can be so. It is a simple guideline, our base's structures and locations are off limits to anyone we do not deem nescisary.. Regardless of how trustworthy you may be, there is simply too much at stake on this planet to be too trusting."

The two Light Infantrymen reached the door, and found it blocked, and they radioed back to their Reaver-Prince.

"Well, then, don't stand there. Blast the door in with your charges." James ordered, continuing to search the area around his men to keep them covered. (*hint hint*)

The first man hefted some small standard-issue demolition charges from his pack, and started attaching them to the door of the Botanical Testing Station, and set them in standard breaching positions. The second man covered him, looking around behind them with his assault rifle (*hint hint*).

"Fire in the hole." the first said, and triggered the charges, taking cover, rifle out for anyone who might take advantage of the noise.

Orders:

- Blast in the door with personnel demolitions charges from the two LI

- LI keep cover and look around - they have their backs to the building.

- Gunship looks around there too to see if anyone is coming. If so? Nail 'em unless they really quickly state their intentions.

"indeed this allience should bear the fruits of our combined labours when we rule arrakis, we would request that the meeting spot be outside of our base, to do deals in the neautral ground surrounding the base would be far better for relations after all"

The dust settled, with both Infantrymen keeping cover around them with their rifles. One man sneezed involuntarily, and then reached up to fasten his filter.

"God damn sand..." he muttered.

"Take that off, you idiot!" the other man said, and jerked his thumb into the now-open door, his own mask quite off.

"Why's tha- ohhh!" the first man said, taking it off and inhaling deeply, taking another look around with his rifle.

"Yep. My Lord, if there isn't a spice cache inside of here, then surely there is spice nowhere on the planet. The air reeks of it in here." the second Light Infantryman reported in, taking hold of his radio.

"We have twelve hours. Base is radioing in that the coriolis winds are starting to pick up. We could very easily have a full-blown sandstorm on our hands, and I have zero intention of being caught out here in it. Investigate inside. Hopefully, the Fremen who stashed it left it in the standard containers of a Spice Harvester." James ordered, still keeping the tireless machine in the air, wings pumping and turbines oscillating. The noise of the explosion had worried him, and he was keeping an extra-sharp watch out.

"You heard the man, get in there!" the one infantryman nudged his partner, and waved him in, himself taking the rear. They followed the odor of the spice through the Station, covering behind them, in front, and in all the side-corridors, yet the place was abandoned.

"Carryall 01, I need you to start unpacking your equipment for nonstandard carrying. We'll be carrying raw spice, in an unknown set of containers. Expect anything from standard Harvester containers to loose spice." James then ordered, eyes searching the ground below in concert with the sensor suite of the Weapon Zero.

The pilot of the Carryall turned to the standard fitter crew sitting in their compartment. "Get out there and rig up the fittings for anything! Even if we'll be carrying it on tarps, we're going to get this spice home!"

The fitter crew grabbed their equipment and disembarked from the Carryall's crew compartment, running out and heading to the six huge clamp points that would normally interface with the standard docking ports of a Harvester, or extend runners clamps down to the smaller mountings of a tank or other vehicle, and started running out the lines and alternate attachments.

Orders:

- Investigate the cinnamon smell inside, use all caution if this is a trap

- Gunship continues to look around and keep watch -come on, I even have my main character inside of it. Surely I'm spotting something?

- Carryall crew starts rigging for carrying alternative methods of containing raw spice - It is a CarryALL, after all.

Ikara opened his eyes and found that he was still in the base, he must have fallen asleep after the negotiantions. He remebered that it had gone well, but why was he feeling so, hesitant about going any further. He knew the answer of course, they had the most to lose of any house, all outsiders wouldn't understand what they had acomplished, and would sooner turn them in then try to understand. There was too much at risk, and proper procedurs must be taken.

"Ikara, the Radar outpost has been completed, the systems are being brought online." spoke a soilder

Ikara watched another screen in the command center come online and it was fed the Radar telemitry. Ikara glanced nervously at the lights and saw they were still active. Perfect, they had dodged the bullet this time, and they must never face a bullet like that again.

"Ikara. The power is holding, and I've fabricated a new Windtrap while you were asleep, we will have enough power for the factory. But we will need more for my puposes." Rumbled the Evermind
